It is with great pleasure that I welcome you on behalf of the children, parents, staff and governors to Coleham Primary School's website. I hope you will find it enjoyable, interesting and informative. We are extremely proud of our school and have worked hard to create a learning environment in which all our children can thrive.

Be it our exciting creative curriculum, our wide range of sporting and extra-curricular activities, the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument throughout school or our fantastic range of ICT equipment used to support children's learning, we know that Coleham has something to offer everyone who becomes part of our community.
Services
At Coleham we aim to provide an excellent programme of extra-curricular and enrichment activities. It is important that we give opportunities to all pupils to learn new skills, enhance their hobbies and talents, and increase their independence and social interactions. Ensuring that pupils are resilient, well rounded individuals equipped with skills for later life is part of our school ethos.
We run a Breakfast Club (open to any child in school) every morning (term time only) in the school hall from between 7:45 - 8:40am. The club is extremely popular and is run by school staff. The cost of the club is 3.50 a day. We do lots of fun activities such as board games, Lego, books, toys, drawing or puzzles and eat a healthy breakfast all together.
The School Council is a vital part of our school. At Coleham we have are proud to have pupil representatives that take part in School Council meetings, which ensure that pupils have a voice and are involved in decisions about the school that affect them. Our School Council consists of a team of extremely active, dedicated and well organised children.
Family and inclusivity are incredibly important to us at Coleham, as is cooperation, which is one of our Core Values. To help build those relationships amongst all members of our school community, we have a thriving House system that every pupil and member of staff are members of. Only the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher remain outside the Houses so that they can act as impartial judges in competitions.
Throughout the year we run a Junior Chefs Club, run by our Kitchen Chefs from Catering Academy. Participants will undertake a series of cookery modules, designed to teach them the skills required to cook an entire meal at home for their family. Each child is given a culinary passport where they collect stamps at each stage - the group above have been learning how to peel and prepare root vegetables.

Report
By far one of the best primary schools in Shrewsbury and it's surrounding areas.
Teachers and staff are lovely, helpful and have your child's best interests at heart.
Complimented by their yearly Ofsted report, I would highly recommend this school to parents/children in the area or whom are looking to move to Shrewsbury area with their young ones.
