High Ercall Stores
We are a caring, friendly and successful rural primary school, with 5 classes and a private provider nursery. At High Ercall we provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for learning, where children grow and thrive in a supportive atmosphere of high expectation. Together we believe that children must be happy to become confident learners, and at the heart of this is our partnership with parents.

Learning is fun, creative, active, and shared. Our broad and balanced curriculum provides learning opportunities which are creative, exciting and challenging. Through our School Code, the '5Rs', we support our children to become Respectful, Responsible, Resourceful, Reflective and Resilient. This enables the children to become confident, successful and independent learners, with skills they can apply in their learning journey through life.
Services
Our site is made up of two buildings - the original Victorian school building, and the main school building which now houses all the classrooms. All are accessible for adults and children. The school site has a number of features to ensure that it is entirely accessible for all. The Victorian building was modified when it was refurbished to ensure accessibility, with a ramp to one of the entrances.
If you are looking for a school for admissions for 2022, please contact school for further information. We will be showing parents around school in single family groups. Parents are invited to phone the office to make an appointment to look around AFTER school. We are sorry but we are unable to show parents around during the school day at the moment.
Our full wrap around care for our children runs from 3.15pm until 5.30pm every school day. The direct out of hours contact number for Chill Club is: 01952 387574. Normally, he children can transfer from an after school club into Chill Club, or go straight there at 3.15pm if the club isn't suitable for them.
Past key projects completed with the help of FHEPS funds are the refurbishment of the library and outdoor play equipment - both benefiting and enjoyed by all the children. We have also purchased a PA system for use by the school and over the past two years we were able to build the outdoor classroom.
Under the Education and Inspection Act 2006, school governing bodies are charged with the duty to set the framework of school policy by providing a written statement of general principles relating to behaviour and discipline, taking into account the needs of the pupils. The following has been approved by the High Ercall Primary School Board of Governors, within the Positive Behaviour Policy.

A hidden gem of a school. As a primary school teacher I cannot fault the high standards of teaching and positive ethos to learning. The school is a very happy environment where the children are thriving and happy. The wrap around care provided is invaluable to working parents

Excellent school, staff are very nurturing and provide advice and support whenever needed. Lovely community feel to the school where children mix well with all ages and year groups.
