MXT are a premier swimming school in the South of England, and have produced confident and capable swimmers since 1990. Swimmers will achieve the highest standard of strokes to equip themselves with the skills required to enjoy all water-based activities. We offer private swimming lessons and one-to-one coaching, as well as intensive week-long group lessons in school holidays.
Private lessons are available for both children and adult swimmers. For professional swimmers, stroke technique can be improved to the highest level. MXT teach children of all ages from 3 months to 14 years and up to adults. Working in partnership with Swim England, swimming lessons are designed to bring out the best in all swimmers.

Services
MXT provide a fast track programme to learn to swim, with one-to-one teaching as well as group sessions. In groups children are accompanied in lessons by a parent/guardian. Not all children are the same, we take each child as an individual and progress them at their own pace according to their ability.
In groups children are taught without a parent/guardian in the water. We encourage children to play and enjoy themselves in the water. Informal learning and structured play is introduced once the child feels confident in the water. Flotation skills are developed along with body movements, and blowing bubbles encourage aquatic breathing and coordination skills.
MXT provide a fast track programme to learn to swim, with one-to-one teaching as well as group sessions. At this age children have their lessons structured according to the MXT programme, teaching multi-strokes with emphasis on improving breathing, stroke technique, coordination and stamina.
At this stage we teach front crawl, backstroke, dolphin kicks, butterfly, breaststroke, competitive turns, diving skills and in group sessions we include group games such as water polo.

MXT have a number of specially trained and qualified SEN swimming teachers. These teachers are trained to teach swimmers with a range of conditions to be safe, to enjoy their time in the water, and to swim. Some SEN's we can teach include: Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Muscular Dystrophy, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Dysphasia, Dyspraxia and Cerebral Palsy.
The MXT intensive courses have been designed to teach children at a much faster rate than regular lessons, as they incorporate our unique accelerated teaching system. Our 5-day course is greatly suited for first time swimmers, as well as those who are looking for extra training, to develop invaluable life skills, confidence and water safety.

My daughter has been swimming with MXT for a few months now and her skills have improved massively even after just a handful of lessons. Watching the teachers interact with all their kids and watching them… improve week in week is amazing. Mario has built a fab teaching model that is very unique and clearly works going by the standards of swimmers they are producing. Thanks and well done Mario and all your team!!!

I would definitely recommend this school, the one to one lessons were very effective. I was surprised to find my kids went from non swimmers to floating and swimming with confidence after only two lessons ! They had a total of 4 hours each which provided the confidence to swim unaided under water on holiday

Our twins were nervous of swimming, and behind the rest of their class in year 2 swimming at school. One half-hour session at MXT cured them of any nervousness of the water, and now they are nearly the best swimmers in their class in year 3!
Molly still enjoys her swimming lesson every week, and is learning proper stroke techniques, racing dives to start, and even beginning tumble turns. She has achieved here 400 metre award.
Tom enjoys his swimming so much he now has two lessons a week. He has achieved his 600 metre award, and now needs more than half an hour to get his 800. His stoke is nice

MXT have allowed my two boys (4 years and 2 years) to become so much more confident in the water in such a short amount of time. The week intense courses are excellent and give each child either 1:1 or 2:1 support and the value for money is excellent (and most important for us is our boys love them!) Couldn't recommend MXT enough.

MXT really know what they're doing, and can convert children who are scared of the water into happy swimmers in a very short period of time! The one-to-one tuition, and experience of the instructors, really pays off. The atmosphere is fun and very friendly.
Our six-year-old twins are now competent and confident swimmers, swimming better than their parents!
