Surrey Swim School's philosophy is that swimming can be learnt through structured, planned lessons with friendly, caring teachers. Swimming is a life-saving skill and can also be the beginning of many enjoyable water experiences such as scuba diving, wind surfing or water ski-ing. Our main goal is for swimmers to enjoy the water.
All teachers who work for Surrey Swim School are qualified with relevant rescue tests and DBS checks. They are enthusiastic about their teaching, well organised and very approachable. They offer structured, planned lessons in a friendly, caring environment. Each term all Surrey Swim School swimmers receive a Progress Report.

Services
Surrey Swim School is based on the Swim England's Learn to Swim Programme. It is a national syllabus for delivering aquatics and provides Stages for your children to progress and become competent, confident and safe in the water.
The framework is divided into seven Stages and once the swimmer has gained the core range of skills required for the seven Stages he/she is ready to progress to Stages 8 to 10 in a variety of aquatic disciplines:- competitive swimming, rookie lifesaving, diving, water polo and synchronised swimming.Various other badges will be incorporated to enhance the programme such as distance awards.

My 4 years old daughter has done 2 terms with the school and I could not be happier. She loves going to her swimming lessons and her instructors Amy and Ellie are fantastic and super nice with their children. My daughter has always loved the water but the girls have taught her the techniques that she needs to be a confident swimmer. Definitely recommend the Surrey Swim School.

My son has had swimming lessons with Surrey Swim School for 10 years. This school has given him excellent tuition, Joe Schembri is an excellent and knowledgable teacher, who Jem has really enjoyed learning with. What I love most about this school is the quality it offers, it’s not gimmicky, just honest and professional with high standard tuition and a friendly team in and out of the pool. The numbers in each class are also small, enhancing the teacher/pupil experience. I highly recommend and I am grateful for all the hours that have been put into my son‘s swimming technique and fitness and

My children have swum from strength to strength under the instruction of the teachers. We moved our daughter from the usual leisure centre swimming lessons. The classes were too big, she wasn’t getting focused instruction, she was sitting outside the water not getting practice. She was sitting in the same stage for almost 2 years. That all changed when we found Surrey Swim School.
For my son, an incident in his old lessons when he was about 3, had him put off lessons in a bad way. The staff were not mindful not present in a way that could have prevented the outcome of the incident . Surrey Swim

I cannot rate this school highly enough, nor can I fathom the 1negative review which is pulling the overall rating below that of other subquality schools in the area (that I wish I had not perservered with for so long). If you are unhappy with anything, speak to the office, in my experience they will sort it out rapidly and effectively (if they can) cause they actually seem to care... Surrey swim school are the third swim school we have been with over the years, its telling that whilst both my children have been having lesson since they were 4, my 8year old swims almost as well as my 12 year old

Fantastic!!! My daughter has swam with Surrey Swim School since she was 7 years old and she is now 13. The classes are small with not only a lead teacher but a helper in the pool with the children. The teachers have been amazing. Over the years, I have seen her develop from a timid swimmer to a confident swimmer, her technique is spot on! The teachers are professional, knowledgable, kind and caring. I couldn't recommend a better swim school than this.

My children have been learning to swim with Surrey Swim School for the last 5 years. They are now 8yrs and 5yrs. They love every minute of their lessons. They have both progressed extremely well. The teachers are wonderful and very professional, always putting the safety of the children first. A truly fantastic swim school. I highly recommend it!

Would hugely recommend this Swim School. Their approach is excellent across the board from young beginners who lack confidence, as our daughter did to begin with, to older more experienced learners. They have also been very patient indeed with our youngest son, spending a lot of time with him and making sure he is comfortable and happy in the water. The teachers are friendly and encouraging and it is very well run. They regularly monitor the progress of the children with end of term assessments and awards/certificates. Both our children have attended this school after moving from another school
