At SwimWay we put a huge emphasis on recruiting the best instructors and office staff. We understand the importance of the bond between instructor and student, especially for young children. We also know how much it helps to hear a friendly and helpful voice on the other end of the phone. While sometimes unavoidable, we strive to minimise the turnover of instructors from term to term.
We hire only those with at least two years experience. We also pay above the market average for their talent and commitment. All our instructors have worked in established swimming programmes across the globe. This brings a solid background in swimming teaching to the team. Additionally, it helps us to continuously improve our own methodology.

Services
While SwimWay's demand has led to the business being driven by the pools that offer lessons to the general public, we have not forgotten our roots. We still offer home-visit lessons to anyone who would like to experience a convenient, exclusive service in the comfort of your own home. These lessons are available at a minimum 2-hour booking.
Following our previous FAQs about cancellations, we thought it would be helpful to delve a little deeper into what happens if SwimWay cancels a class. For a waiting list & availability notifications, we do not guarantee updates in priority order. Bookings are taken on a first come, first served basis.
Everything you need to know about our booking and rebooking policies and procedures, as well as dates for future term general bookings. Current clients will receive an automated email (from noreply.notification@swimway.co.uk) at the end of their lessons during the course of the rebooking commencement week.
At SwimWay we make health and safety a major priority in the way we run the company and our lessons. When dealing with swimming lessons for all ages and abilities it is extremely important to put safety first, and we do exactly that. It would be more cost effective for our company to run lessons with larger groups of students.
Our Head of Swimming, Tamsin Watt, is one of the most experienced teachers in the industry. She takes on a quality control/training role along with her other duties. She makes routine weekly visits to our locations. In these visits, she examines instructors' lesson plans and teaching styles. Thus helping to improve, learn from, and develop our team.

Istvan is an absolute legend!
My 4 year old was a bit nervous about going into the water, but Istvan's very professional and cheerful approach made my son love swimming. He motivated him positively and consistently. I couldn't recommend him more, especially for kids who might not be comfortable with water yet.

My daughter went from zero swimming skills and no confidence in getting her head under water at all to jumping off the side again and again and begging to go under more! Thanks to Filipe... he was an amazing teacher and progressed my little girl so much in such a short time. I cannot recommend SwimWay enough.

My daughter, Mollie has been swimming with SwimWay since January 2018. Mollie absolutely loves swimming and looks forward to it each week and this is mainly down to Filipe. Filipe is amazing with Mollie and they have developed an incredible teacher/student relationship. He is kind, patient and very fun but also has an incredible ability to teach. Mollie has been really missing swimming and can’t wait until ‘this problem’ is all over so she can go back.
We hope all the instructors and the team at SwimWay remain safe and well.

My two kids have been swimming with SwimWay for the last few years. Iβve been very impressed with the whole experience - the booking and admin side, the pools and the great teachers. The teachers have supported and pushed my kids, working on their technique and stamina, all in a fun way while taking no nonsense. I would recommend SwimWay to anyone looking for swimming company for their little ones.

Swimway is the best swimming school ever! The method of the lessons is so efficient, all the teachers we had lessons with were just great!
My daughter wasn't very happy when we first took her to Swimming lessons and the teachers were very patient with her!
