We're a private day nursery that's been running for over 25 years, catering for children between 2 and 5 years old. All our staff have NVQ level 3 and enhanced disclosure CRB's. We are very proud of having the silver nurturing health award, we're one of the few nurseries in our area to have this food standard award.

Services
We pride ourselves in preparing your child for entry into the reception class and therefore making an easy transition into school. We offer a wide variety of fun activities to help your child have a fantastic time in a safe, stimulating environment. We have a large indoor playroom where your child can enjoy physical activities such as playing in the large ball pool and climbing on the climbing frame.

This nursery is absolutely wonderful my daughter was 2 1/2 yrs of age when she started and she had never left my side. Sharon and Helena were absolutely brilliant. She was introduced into her first week, where she went 10mins, at first I was like what’s that all about! but It was most certainly the right thing to do and by day 4 she had stopped crying and she knew mummy was picking her up soon! The staff when I went to pick her up would have her in their arms. I have found all the staff very loving caring and compassionate. She loves going now doesn’t want to come home sometimes. They

Our son started at Sugar N’ Spice in November and it was fine to begin with but over the course of the 5 months he attended the quality of care he received deteriorated as did the attitude of some of the staff. He would come home with bite marks and scratches regularly, and while I understand kids can sometimes play rough, the fact that the staff had no knowledge of these incidents initially, and then when further questioned their story changed, is highly unprofessional. One of his last days he was dropped off by his mum only for her to receive a phone call 15 minutes later saying he had a scratch

My daughter started this nursery after having a bad experience at a previous nursery, she was shy and very quiet. my daughter is a completely different girl now and she LOVES the nursery and every single member of staff there. it's a lovely welcoming place and I cant recommend this nursery enough! it's not really a nursery it's more like leaving your children with family ❤

My 4yr old has been with sugar an spice for 2 years now and is ending her journey there soon, she started not being able to speak to the staff and at times being painfully shy. The staff at sugar and spice went above and beyond with her and she is now a different little girl, the time and attention they put in to do this is amazing and she now has conversations with all the staff and really engaging in all the fabulous activities they do with the children every day. My little boy has now been there 6mth and is loving every day with them that he goes, I can't thank the staff enough for all the individual
