We want your child to be happy in school; when children are happy they can learn best. Services
Eco Schools is an international award programme which seeks to guide schools toward greater sustainability, addressing a variety of environmental themes including reducing litter waste, encouraging healthy living and promoting biodiversity. Iveagh was one of the first schools in Northern Ireland to receive the permanent Eco schools award.
RISE NI have worked closely with Iveagh Primary School to develop the ideas and strategies included in sections 1, 2 & 3. In Iveagh we teach our pupils basic Sign Language with pupils being able to sign the alphabet along with simple greetings. Opportunities are taken to practise phrases in assemblies or when the children line up at break and lunchtimes.
