St Brendans Primary School
We are a dynamic and progressive school with a wonderful team of experienced professionals who work in partnership with home, parish and community to provide the best possible education for all our pupils. Our pupils are at the centre of all that we do here in St. Brendan's. They are the heartbeat of our wider school community.

As your child embarks on this exciting stage of their journey into education I want to assure you that we will, as a team, strive to ensure that your child's time in St. Brendan's will be a happy one where he/she achieves his/her full potential in a safe, secure and happy environment. This website contains some information on many aspects of school life.
Services
As a Christian community founded on the belief that the Catholic school has an important function in the community, we in St. Brendan's Primary School, strive to promote our faith, create a caring, happy and secure environment, where we celebrate diversity, where every individual is treated with dignity and respect, whilst being given the opportunity to develop their gifts and talents.
We would ask you to purchase flat black shoes for your child which he/she can open and close by himself/herself. For PE children in Primaries 1 - 3 should wear plimsolls. These should be labelled and brought in at the beginning of the school year and kept in school. Primary 4 - 7 pupils must wear the correct PE uniform.
This information is intended for parents of P6 and P7 pupils. The transfer process begins when your child enters P6 because this is when parents/children need to start to think about the secondary school theywish to attend. Pupils wishing to apply for grammar will be need to complete an application form for AQE/GL assessments from the May of P6 through to September of P7.
Our main fundraising events are the discos and bag packing in Tesco- money raised all goes toward resources for the children in school - whether it be play equipment, craft or books. We are very grateful that our Parent Support Group were able to purchase a defibrillator as well as helping to create a sensory room and garden.
