Trinity Park opened in the year 2002 by Mrs Karen Dawson. It was situated in a mobile classroom in Magheralin, offering playgroup places to the children who lived in Magheralin village and the surrounding area. For three years Mrs Karen Dawson continuously applied for PEAG places. In the academic school year of 2005-2006 she was granted 8 PEAG places for her nursery.
Today Trinity Park provides 24 PEAG places. In the year 2011 Trinity Park moved to a purpose-built facility by Mrs Dawson on the Cottage Road in Dollingstown. It currently provides 26 Pre-Pre-School Places (Paid) and 24 PEAG places (Government Funded). We also operate a breakfast club and after-school club.

Services
Our selection of breakfast cereals aims to be a healthy balance. Children have the choice whether to have food or not, although they are encouraged to do so. During their time at breakfast club the children will have free choice of activities should they wish to participate. Children should leave their coats and bags in designated cloakroom areas as advised by breakfast club staff.
Within the baby and toddler unit there are 2 separate classrooms, each of which is dedicated to different age groups which range from 6 weeks to 3 years old. The Jelly Babies room is for babies aged 6 weeks old - 2 years old and the Jelly Tots room is for toddlers aged 2-3 years old. We operate a key worker system in both these rooms where children can build secure attachments with loving responsive carers.
Before a child starts to attend our setting, we find out from parents their children's dietary needs, including any allergies and we record information about each child's dietary needs in her/his registration form. Meal times are a social occasion for children and staff alike, positive interactions are shared with both children and staff at these times.
Sending your child to nursery is one of the biggest steps you will have to make as a parent. It can be a very sensitive time, but nursery can have a positive and long-term impact on children's capabilities, progress and social development. At Trinity Park Nursery we promote inclusive practice and encourage unique planning for each individual child to strengthen their own development, through working in partnership with parents.
At Trinity Park Nursery we provide Funded Pre-School Education places. All Pre-School places available under the Pre-School Education Programme are funded by the government therefore meaning that parents don't pay for these places. The Pre-School education programme funds education for children in the year before they start primary school.
