Services
Our Baby room is a large self-contained area, with its own separate nappy changing and sleeping area. It is conveniently located on the ground floor to ensure ease of access with pushchairs. All babies have exclusive access to our safe and secure outdoor area, at different times to our preschool children.
Our Senior Toddler room is self-contained, with separate nappy changing and sleeping areas. It is located on the ground floor and has plenty of space for your senior toddler to run around as they are now probably very confident on their feet. All senior toddlers have exclusive access to our safe and secure outdoor area, at different times to our preschool children.
Our two spacious rooms have their own toilets and nappy changing facility. All preschool children have exclusive access to our safe and secure outdoor area at different times to our babies and toddlers. Our junior preschool nursery room is registered for twenty two children with three full-time members of staff.
First Steps After school class cares for children aged 5 -12 years old and is full of fun. Our relaxed but structured routine focuses on free play with a different activity integrated into the class, daily. Our extensive outdoor area is loved by all in this age group. Children will be collected from school by our friendly staff, given a nutritious afternoon snack and we even get homework under way, if you wish.
Your child can enjoy outdoor play at First Steps Day Nursery in a totally enclosed, secure and exciting environment. When children go outdoors they greet a world that offers them opportunities for different types of play, that is exploratory play, constructive play, pretend play and games. All these opportunities help extend their social roles.

Our son Finn has spent the last year in this fabulous nursery school and we can’t recommend it highly enough. It has been his second home and the care and love he has received has been second to none! Karen and her team are fantastic and a special mention to Ann who met him everyday with the warmest smile and open arms! My two sons attend First Steps and they both love it! The new management are making brilliant changes and the staff are first class!! Kids are happier than ever - great outdoor activities - the boys have a ball and are wrecked when they come home (great sleeps every night!!!), as well as super indoor development and learning activities every day. Highly recommend First Steps - I know my boys are happy, safe and well looked after so I am a very happy mummy going to work every day!
