St Colmcille's Nursery School is a modern two unit, purpose built Nursery School. It is situated near St Colmcille's Primary School and adjacent to the Flying Horse and Model Farm estates. The school was opened in 1980 and is a bright pleasant building. It is well equipped and was planned to provide maximum opportunity for both indoor and outdoor play in an ideal learning environment, which is safe, stimulating and inviting.
The addition of a fully equipped Parents Room, a traditional Irish Cottage and a large covered area for outdoor play in any weather, have helped to expand the facilities which enhance the all-round development of the children. As a Catholic Nursery School we see our role as one of complementing the home and helping parents in the Christian education of their child.

Services
Parents are always welcome to visit the Nursery School to discuss their child's progress. A meeting can be arranged after the children leave at 1.30 pm. An informal chat can be carried out either when you leave your child to school or at home time. Safeguarding and Child Protection are of utmost importance for the staff of this school.
All parents have been posted out specific start dates/ times and the name of their child's class teacher. This information is very important; please make sure you read all the relevant documents. Fill out an online application. If your application is late, it may not be processed in time for the start of school dinners.
