Services
Meadow Lane Veterinary Centre was founded in the 1870s, making it one of the oldest veterinary practices in Leicestershire, if not England. In common with veterinary practices of that era, MLVC (although not known by that name at the time) was exclusively a large animal and equine practice serving the local farming and horse community.
Meadow Lane Veterinary Centre offers a full range of surgical and dental facilities, diagnostic aids, digital x-ray, ultrasound (including pregnancy ultrasounds), on-site blood testing and pre-operation blood tests. You can find more details about our comprehensive facilities by selecting items from the sub-menu.
For many responsible pet owners, insurance is one of the many ways of caring for their pet, like feeding, grooming and exercise. Animals are just as susceptible to illness and injuries as their owners and experience shows that 1 in 3 pet owners have to make an unexpected trip to the vet. With such a high proportion of the nation's pets requiring veterinary attention, it is important to consider the benefits that pet insurance can provide.
Our Pet Health Plan allows you to spread the cost of caring for your pet throughout the year. It covers your pet for all of their basic healthcare needs, including preventative treatment and expert advice, giving you complete peace of mind. The Pet Health Plan provides regular veterinary health checks.

This is a long overdue review, and where do I begin? I had been to two other veterinary practices before joining Meadow Lane and it was by far the best decision. A previous vet from a different practice gave my young dog a prognosis of 3 months to live due to a rare gastrointestinal condition, we came to Meadow Lane because we wanted to give our dog the best shot and find a practice that would work with us to provide the best care for as long as possible. Thankfully, my dog is still here, over 18 months later and living her very best life; it would not be possible without the care provided by Jenny
