Good place for kids (adult & youngsters). Annual free re-entry ticket £14.00 for adults. Enough here to keep even the easily bored occupied for a couple of hours. Currently good Covid precautions in place.
Well set out history of Army Flying with interesting descriptions to go along with the many exhibits. Sounds effects played by speakers throughout give a good atmosphere.
Interesting history of medals & awards too.
Plenty to look around with a wide variety of airplanes & helicopters in the two hangers - again with good info to tell their story.
The car park and the cafe on site overlook

Good value for money and some excellent static displays.
There's a good a/v show that runs frequently and some of the static displays are very good, including the Horsa and Hamilcar gliders, which are rarities. There's a wealth of information, and it's really well laid out, with some great sound effects of helicopters as you tour the exhibits.
Having visited with teenage boys, some more interactive exhibits would have been a welcome addition, such being able to climb into more cockpits. Also a flight simulator or two. Some exhibits of weaponry would not go amiss, ditto stories of armed conflicts

This is an amazing museum. I highly recommend a visit. I learned so much and there is so much to see. IFor example, I never realised the vital role that gliders played in WW2 nor the amount that they carried ! The exhibits are excellent, and the information given about each is most interesting and very informative.

Lovely place to take children to with so much history to see. My girls love coming here. They also love the hunts around the museum and the craft sessions. The ladies that do the craft sessions are lovely and so very helpful interacting with all the kiddies- it really adds to the visit. The revamp looks great. The outdoor play area is also great for the kiddies to do play role in the helicopter and aeroplane. Worth a visit!
