Salisbury Museum is based in the King's House, a grade I listed building located opposite Salisbury Cathedral. We have a small but friendly staff, supported by over 200 volunteers. We offer a variety of services, including the opportunity to hire this unique location for corporate events and activities.

Salisbury and South Wiltshire Museum was founded by Dr Richard Fowler in 1860 and was for many years located in St Ann's Street in the city. If you have a valid Stonehenge admission ticket with today's date you will receive 1 off museum entry on the same day. You can book an add-on ticket for the museum when you pre-book for Stonehenge (on the English Heritage website) and receive 25% off museum entry. Home educated children: 2.50 per child for self-guided visit plus free entry for adults in group.
Booking is essential for adult groups of 10 or more. Whether you wish to visit the whole museum, Wessex Gallery or any of our temporary exhibitions, we are here to help. There is so much more to the museum than meets the eye. Many of our facilities are also available for hire.
