A really interesting museum, with two permanent exhibitions ine about the Titanic telling the story of the disaster and exploring the crew's links to the City of Southampton. The use of an old court room for a digital recreation of the investigation is very well done and will appeal to adults and older children. There are also hands on opportunities to stoke boilers and send more messages for primary school aged children.
The other permanent exhibit looks at Southampton as an international and migrant city, while the temporary exhibit focuses on stories from the local community. Allow at least

It was truly an immersive and a wonderful experience. Plan ahead and spend an entire day wandering the walls of the rich Southampton history which includes - The titanic experience, History of early settlers in Southampton and Southampton’s contribution to some of the greatest historical events. You will definitely not regret this experience. There are also fun games you can indulge in and even get your fortune read by a gypsy! It’s super fun!!

Southampton has been essential due to the strategic positions of their harbour. Titanic is an integral part of Southampton history. I think this museum is interesting and tells the story of White Star, the company that owned and got the Titanic built, and about important figures on the boat and the less important. The Museum is very small, though.

2/3 was about Titanic and 1/3 was about Southampton history. Both are amazing, but if you won't like Titanic history's (really hard to think of) you would feel like price was too high. Not at all, and that's the only worst case scenario. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and we had a lovely time over there, discovering a lot of things we didn't know about Titanic. Would suggest 100% to go👍

Thoroughly enjoyed The Titanic experience but felt there were parts of the story missing and the sinking happened quite suddenly. That said, the various interactive experiences were good fun.

The displays and activities kept both children (3 and 7) engaged for a couple of hours. It was a great follow up for the 7 year old learning about the Titanic at school. Really interesting for the adults too. The information was displayed in a way that accessible and interesting for the different age groups.

What a spectacular Titanic history experience! Learned so much and its made so well, especially court room, and exhibition is full of interaction pieces, for example you can rule the ship or put coil in stoves to keep engines working. Loved the old playing machines from 1930s

A wonderful experience taking my 7 year old son having studied the topic at school ... went with my parents as well. Timed tickets make it also safe and time to walk around at your own pace. Some good interactive activities for children and adults.

Very nice experience here as it has a lot of factual information which is nice and easy to learn for kids. It also has good covid-19 safety measures as it has hand sanitisers and personnel limits in areas. The museum is not too large so it can be all gone through in a maximum of two hours, its location is really good as it is in the centre and is pretty easily accessible. Also its very cool how the titanic set sail in the very same city the museum is in, giving it a really nice vibe 👌🛳🌍

My husband is a major fan of the Titanic, so we decided to see this museum dedicated to it.

Here is some information on the museum here - Nowhere was the tragedy of the Titanic disaster more felt than in Southampton, where more than 500 households lost a family member. Visitors to the museum will discover how many people worked on board and the huge variety of jobs the crew carried out. The centre-piece of this gallery features a 1:25 scale, interactive model of the Titanic, showing the intricate layout of the vessel.

Visitors will be able to experience the sights and sounds of Southampton in

I saw the movie so I just had to visit the museum. The Titanic exhibit is very well done and impressive. I learned more than I thought and though it had very few real artifacts, it was worth the price I paid.

This is a museum in three parts. The Titanic exhibition is large and excellent despite the museum having very few real artifacts related to that doomed ship. The recreation of the board of enquiry is particularly impressive. Unfortunately it suffered from a common problem of interactive exhibits that they cannot maintain in working order all the time. The other exhibition about Southampton was less interesting although it had some good points. It is a bit of a mish-mash of disparate topics. The third exhibition space changes from time to time and I did not see it.

This museum is good to kill an hour or so. The core of the museum is the Titanic exhibit which is very well done.

The museum staff pointed us towards the flagship Titanic exhibit first, its well thought out and follows the story of several crew members on the boat, focusing on their lives both before and during the voyage. There are several hands on exhibits as you work your way through including a simulation of driving the boat through the channel, operating a telegraph, and shoveling coal into the boilers. The exhibit ends with a grand recreation of the legal hearings that followed the sinking

I wanted to visit the "Titanic museum", and thus came across this institution, which opened up in 2012. I had no expectations, just a thirst for information: I personally totally enjoyed the experience, while my UK friend thought it left something to be desired.

The Titanic-related exhibit has interesting facts on the numerous staff and workers from the Southampton area who served on the ship: there is actually a floor map of the city, where a red dot designates the address of each local citizen who worked on Titanic. It is overwhelming to think how many of the locals perished, and

Spur of the moment decision to pop in and 'do something' during the school holidays! And a good decision it was too! Cost £25 for family of 4 and there was plenty to keep us occupied! Main feature of museum is the story of the Titanic, which was interesting for all ages! Lots of activities for the kids, worksheet to fill out, interactive touch screens kept them busy and real life accounts from the few who survived really created an atmosphere of how horrific the experience was! So much here that no 'big screen' production of what 'might have' happened could compare
