After your wedding ceremony we would be delighted to offer a drinks reception while the happy couple have their photographs taken. Reception drinks are served in the Chandos Dining Room, which is located on the ground floor close to the Ceremony Room and can host up to 50 guests. Drinks receptions are available every Saturday throughout the year but must be the last ceremony of the day to guarantee exclusivity.

I know it's free but it could be made so much better! I parked in the adjoining garden which hasn't been looked after. The raised beds could have been planted with anything instead of just dry earth. As for the house itself there were empty rooms with a Manakin here and there. A recording would've been nice or a guide telling you things.

Attended for the Herirage Open Days event. Lovely to be able to look around and get to to take a peek at a beautiful piece of Newbury's history
Plenty of people there enjoying both house & grounds but never felt crowded.
Really enjoyed the informative talk on the house & its his by the manager - WBC have struck a good balance between historic gem & commercial asset.
