Welcome to our website, created to provide an insight into our both friendly and competitive club. Established in 1924 and flourishing with a membership of well over 100. You will find our present day management well prepared for 21st century bowling. The outdoor season starts around mid April and ends mid September.
During that time we play some 60 - 70 matches against other clubs both during the week and at weekends. In these games bowlers of all abilities are invited to take part and bowls being a social game, most matches are followed by a snack and a drink from the well stocked bar. During the week there is social bowling, called roll ups, when the game is simply played for fun and is a great time to practice and improve.

Services
We at Thame Bowls Club are delighted that you have chosen to join us and hope you enjoy many years of bowling. It is a great social game and you will meet lots of people who have many years of experience in the game who will help you in the learning process, but you will also meet many newcomers to the game.
Before you start you will need to obtain an authorisation code. Our website registration rules require you to disclose your real name for identification - this is used to determine if you are a member of the club. If it takes longer than 48 hours for your account to be activated, please send an email to the Club from the "Contact Us" page to prompt an investigation.
Matches, cigarette ends, etc., should be placed in the litter-baskets and not in the ditches. After delivering a bowl, a player should either retire behind the mat or advance to the head. He should not take up a position in between. Dress appropriately and ensure that you know the dress code for each game or match in which you are participating.
There were some 50 players taking part and Thame's sponsors were invited to watch the match and enjoy the hospitality of a buffet and bar. All agreed that it was a fine advert for the Club and acted as a thank you to the sponsors who have given their support, especially over the last two difficult seasons.
