Whether its Outdoor or Short Mat Bowling we could be the club you're looking for. The bowling green and club house are on one level offering easy access for every one we also have a disabled toilet. We have a bar which is open on match days. We have qualified coaches to help you with the basics and many experienced bowlers to support you to encourage your progress to join in friendly games and beyond.

Our members range from teenagers to the over 80s. If you are arranging a tour and looking for somewhere to stop mid way, we can offer you a game. Help the club to grow and develop with new ideas and suggestions for improvements. Share them with other members by sending them to Suggestions they will be added to the list at Improvements and Suggestions for consideration by the committee.
Services
Founded in 1913 as a Mens Club then in 1971 Ladies were admitted to play. The Club welcomes all members irrespective of age or abilities. The Green is leased from Christs Hospital a charity who are the custodians of the Park. The Park was created in Victorian Times and has over 300 specimens of trees.
Abingdon Bowling Club formed a short mat bowling section in 2014 to operate annually from late September to early April. We entered a team in the Oxfordshire Short Mat Bowling Association (OSMBA) afternoon league under the name of Abingdon Park Rangers and in the evening league division two under the name of Abingdon 'Knights'.
Leave the A34 at the Marcham Interchange and head towards the town centre via Marcham Road and Ock Road. Pass the Fire Station on your right, approximately 200 metres turn left into Conduit Road, cross Park Road and the Bowling Club Car Park is 100 metres to the left.

There is plenty of parking space in the Park near to the club, but be aware there are parking restrictions Monday - Saturday on Park Road and Park Crescent, beware you may get clamped.
The Club was founded as a Men's club in 1913 and Ladies were admitted to playing membership in 1971. We welcome new members of any age, and provide opportunities for both social and competitive bowling. The green is leased from Christ's Hospital, a charity who are the custodians of Albert Park.

Abingdon has remained affiliated to the Berkshire County Bowling Association despite boundary changes, and Club members play in Berkshire county matches and competitions.The Executive Committee - is responsible to the Charity Commissioners for the finance, general administration of the club, admission of new members, maintenance of the green and buildings.

Good to see bowling has made a start again at one of the county's premier bowling clubs. All bowlers taking part are enjoying a return to an exciting sport making sure to observe all requirements made by Bowls England.
