The club was formed in 1969 with about 30 members, and since 1972 has used the Didcot bowling green, which was built and maintained by Didcot Town Council. In 1981, at the request of the council, we took over all maintenance of the maximum-size green, using funds from our finances and our own voluntary labour.
We are generally acknowledged as having one of the finest and best-maintained seven-rink greens in the area. In the autumn of 1997, a new clubhouse was built, following a grant of over 103,000 from the sports council National Lottery Fund (Sports England) plus further funds from the district councils.

Services
The purpose-built clubhouse has both ladies' and men's changing rooms to welcome and entertain visiting teams. Alcoholic and soft drinks are available from the bar with tea and coffee available from the kitchen. The Club enjoys a wide range of bowling interests for its members, including friendly, non-competitive bowling, internal club competitions and participation in National, County, and League matches.
We have teams in both men's and ladies' leagues with matches taking place during midweek, evenings and afternoons. We also have 3 men's teams in the Kennet afternoon league, KLV (Kennet League for over 55). Also, there are leagues with mixed gender matches playing triples or rinks games, and these are mostly played at weekends.
