Great Hollands is a club open to both sexes and all abilities for young and old. We love new members, both experienced and beginners, and you will be made to feel very welcome as a member of the 'club family'. Bowls should be fun and enjoyable. Members range from those who enjoy a social roll up with friends to those experienced bowlers competing at county level.
Whatever you like you can be sure to find like minded members at Great Hollands. Membership entitles you to practise on the outdoor green during the playing months April to September and to use the clubhouse facilities throughout the year. Additionally you can join in friendly inter-club matches and enter competitions if you wish.

Bracknell Town Council started laying a bowling green at Great Hollands Recreation Ground in 1981 and two years later Great Hollands Bowls Club was founded. The club membership grew and in 1991 the clubhouse was built, being extended several years later into what it is today. Today the club has over a hundred members and the club and clubhouse are managed by the membership.
We had a strong entry in the 2021 Berkshire County Competitions, with eleven ladies and seventeen men entered. The attached files provide full schedule of matches for our club members. The Excel version can be used to sort (for example on play date) and filter (for example, on just Ladies, or just Men, or on a single competition).
Sue Richardson and Karen Chapman for getting through to the third round of the Ladies Senior Pairs. Sue Richardson, Karen Chapman and Carolyn Lofthouse for getting through to the quarter finals of the Ladies Triples. Jo Sanders, Sheila Lee, Rota Littleford and Lorraine Capon for getting through to the quarter final of the Ladies Fours.
The green will be available for bowling members only (ie guests are not permitted to play). We will have five rinks available for play. There will be a strict limit of six members per rink. If more than 4 are planning to play on a rink, then Rinks 1 or 5 should be boked and the adjacent rink (2 or 4) should also be booked.
The club will be using an on-line system for organising players for the friendly and county league matches in the coming season. Members with email available will be invited to participate in the new system. Members without email addresses may ask a friend to sign up on their behalf, or telephone the appropriate person to sign-up.
