Fantastic rehearsal and recording studio!
Having been in bands for the past 12 years, finding somewhere high quality and suitable to rehearse has always been difficult, I started using Big City Jacks a few months ago and honestly the experience has been faultless!
Plenty of rooms with great acoustics for pretty much any size of band.
Nothing is ever too much hassle for Colin, I've pestered him for plenty of things and he's always really helpful and never pulls a face.
He also really cares about every band who rehearses and records at his studio and takes an interest in your music.

I've been using Big City Jacks for at least 3 years now.
Firstly, Colin is a top bloke. So easy to deal with and one of the nicest blokes you could ever meet. He is so accommodating and will go out of his way to help you out.
The studio itself is top notch. The rehearsal spaces are excellent and if you need any gear it can be provided. Looking at the review by "The White Lion", I sense a massive dollop of sour grapes. I think he was just hurting after his one visit to BCJ as he was deemed not good enough for our band, so unfairly took it out on Colin. Looking at what he said, granted, there are

Very spacious place for a decent price! I've been to a few practice rooms around Manchester and Bury and for me this comes out on top. Very easy to organise a time slot with Colin, who was so accommodating and friendly when I met him!
Even organised gear storage so I don't have to lug everything upstairs 👍
The rooms themselves are great! No foul smells, relaxing sofa and the room contained a fan and PA setup.
Great personal touch is that the place is filled with drum skins from all the bands that use it, I attached my favourite!

You cant beat this place I swear to god!
The owner helped us with rehearsal space and we were so impressed with the space and the lads working there, that we decided to book 8 hours studio time to record our bands first singles.
Ive recorded and visited many studios up north and down south - and this place went well above any other place iv ever been. Colin was a massive help in arranging the day and the staff member Jack was fantastic to work with - clearly knows a lot more for his industry than others that I've recorded with and thinks outside the box to help you get a better sound.

REALLY great place whether your rehearsing or recording. Not only does it house top quality equipment and sounds fantastic , you're also made to feel welcome and feel at ease as soon as you walk through the door. Engineers are very professional, experienced and with a great eye for detail. I can only recommend this place as the prices are very competitive, not like some other places i looked at that were very expensive. It was a great experience and will definitely go there again.

I've been coming in and out of Big City Jacks studios in Bury for about 5 years, and I am yet to see a better quality of studio and rehearsal space in the Greater Manchester. It's clean, it has the best equipment in the market available to rehearse with. It also has state of the art recording technology and the friendliest and most down to earth owner of any studio that I've ever worked in. A truly professional space in which to rehearse and record!

Quality gear in every room and very reasonable rates. Clean bright decent soundproofed rooms with the options to hire gear and back lines.
Colin is always on hand, really friendly and knowledgeable, and happy to help with anything needed.
