Oscillate Recordings is a recording studio, with two studios in Manchester's City Centre and Knutsford, Cheshire. Our recording studios offers professional, precision quality recordings for bands, singer-songwriters and vocalists including mixing, and mastering as well as post-production services for film, TV and radio including voiceovers, SFX and composition.
We conveniently have two studios to cater for all situations and budgets. The larger studio is located in Knutsford, Cheshire on the outskirts of Manchester and a smaller city centre location in Manchester's Northern Quarter, 5 minutes walk from Piccadilly Station and 2 minutes walk from Piccadilly Gardens.

Services
Oscillate Recordings offers professional recordings from two studios, the convenience of a city centre location in Manchester and Knutsford, Cheshire. We have over 400sq ft of space perfect for bands with separate large vocal booth, live room and control room all within line of site from the control room.
Oscillate recordings offers analogue and digital mixes we through our Neve Genesys desk and our vintage outboard gear such as our Fairchild compressors, Bricasti Reverbs and GML Eq's. A full breakdown for our equipment can be found here. We mix in a world class monitoring environment in order to fully hear the mix.
For our Mastering service we have an extensive range of analogue and digital equipment including Shadow Hills, Charter Oak, SSL, Avid HDX and Neve Genesys to get your music radio friendly and commercially ready. Mastering is final process of an audio recording including a combination of EQ, Multiband Compression, Stereo Imaging, and Limiting.
Voice over, voice reel, podcast broadcast quality recordings and ADR sessions for internet, radio, film and TV can be recorded at both our Manchester or Knutsford studios. Or city centre studio, only 5 minutes walk from the main train station is a great location for talent to drop in from out of the area and record.
Oscillate Recordings has teamed up with Noise Four to offer high class all in one audio post production solutions for film, TV, advertising (web and TV) and radio. Whether film, advertising, web based, corporate video or TV spot, it's key that your message is communicated as clearly as possible.
In 2016 Oscillate Recordings has entered into a partnership with Audio Production Company Noise Four in order to provide a comprehensive, bespoke, one-stop solution for the audio in your long form audio-visual media.

I took my son to record his first song, he was a bit nervous , Chris was amazing , knowledgeable, kind and patient. My son sang his song a few times with hints and tips from Chris which improved him considerably. Chris then mixed the song and had it to us within a hour. It was Amazing it sounded fabulous and we’ve had lots of compliments and offers within hours of putting it out. I would 100% recommend oscillate studios🎤😎

I can't recommend Chris Hughes and Oscillate Recordings more highly. Chris was great throughout and worked with me to get the best sounds possible. The studio is equipped with some of the best recording equipment available. I couldn't be happier with the results and would definitely work with him again.

Brilliant experience with a top professional. Chris was great at calming my occasional nerves and worked collaboratively to deliver the best product. I had the absolute pleasure of Mastering my album at Oscillate in Knutsford yesterday. All I can say is wow!! Chris is an absolute pro, he really worked hard to get my stuff sounding sharp and ready for release.
The studio itself is fitted out to the absolute max with gear I could only dream about! 😂😂 it’s a really nice space also set in beautiful grounds and apart from anything it let’s you forget what’s going on in the busy world, and just concentrate on the task at hand. Great place, great gear, great people!
I will definitely be back with future projects.

I first contacted Chris a few months ago to record some violin tracks for my website, He was extremely quick at responding to all my questions. In the studio, he was able to work efficiently on the tracks and help me realise all my ideas and more. He has so much knowledge and experience and knew instantly how to get the sounds I was describing. So pleased to have found this guy. Extremely professional and does an absolutely fantastic job!!! will definitely be using him for all my future studio work!

I contacted Chris at Oscillate Studio for a home studio visit and following that then booked for a session in the studio. Chris is very knowledgeable and was able to pick up our ideas and help us develop them very quickly. In addition he is easy to get along with and that makes the studio session an enjoyable experience. We used the studio for primarily electronic music production, but I would recommend this studio to anyone looking for a session, regardless of their musical genre.
