HQ Studio represents exactly what you would want from a purpose built recording facility; a relaxed, creative, inspiring environment that provides the perfect vibe for clients to create. Born in 1990, HQ opened its doors for the first time in 1992 in the cellar of a warehouse near Strangeways, Manchester.
The aim was to provide a purpose built recording environment where music could be made 24 hours a day by anyone, for any reason. We think we've achieved this. As time passed, the success of the studio grew and a second larger facility, Studio Two, was built.

Services
Services that require simultaneous use of both studios, such as larger musical and film projects cost 60 per hour, 2 hours minimum. We have a vast collection of PA systems, instruments, lighting, pro audio equipment and sound engineers for hire.

We hold all our sessions at HQ Studios, home of Manchester Records! We're situated just north of Manchester city centre in Strangeways, along Sherborne Street between Derby Street and Broughton Street. Train: Manchester Victoria train station is approximately a 10 minute walk from the station. If you are coming by public transport a member of the team here at HQ Studios would be more than happy to meet you in Manchester and walk with you!
Mike is a producer and sound engineer with a raft of experience. Beginning his career recording at Alfasound/Clocktower in Cheshire before moving to London in 1987 to Utopia Recording Studios. Freelancing on projects at Roundhouse, Camden Lock, Abbey Road in London, Strawberry, Vibe, Mirage and Pink/Motor Museum recording studios in the North West.

One of Manchesters longest running studios, HQ hasn't survived 30 years for no reason. Mike and his team go above and beyond to fulfil their clients wishes and create a relaxed, creative atmosphere where anyone can create to their hearts content. Had such an amazing time at HQ recording studio Mike has such a bright personality and Georgia/Georgina is such a sweetheart they both helped me amazingly with recording my vocals and arranging the song if you really want to record new music HQ RECORDING is the place to go See You Both On Monday Romeo Saints ☺️☺️

Michael is a professional, qualified and experienced engineer who's been doing his job since 1991.
Even though during the session I rap in my native language there is no problem, moreover I don't even need to explain many things when creating a song cuz Michael read my mind right away (even though my English is on communicative level).
Plus his sense of humour will break any ice or uncomfortable silence, that's for sure!
