At Peter Pan we have a cosy yet vibrant and stimulating baby unit. We feel this offers security, comfort and fun for your little one when they are spending time away from home. As your child grows we offer a smooth transition between our baby unit and our toddler areas.
With our close knit team your child will already know everyone in these areas and so we can gradually build their confidence into moving forward into the toddler and pre-school rooms when they are ready. Our toddler and pre-school areas are combined to develop good social skills. This also creates a very 'family' type feel to our nursery.

Services
The manager fully understands her responsibility to meet the requirements of the early years foundation stage. A range of documentation and records is effectively implanted. Children's welfare, safety and learning are promoted. Children make good progress in their development. Staff understand how children learn.
The Nursery offers a wide range of educational activities for two to five year olds. The activities are linked to the National Curriculum and are in accordance with the methods accepted by Ofsted as appropriate for the Early Years Foundation Stage. They encompass a wide range of experiences depending upon the age of the child.
It is situated on the ground floor of the nursery in a large open plan room. The aim of the baby room is to create a homely environment and to provide individual care for each child. The babies spend time learning, playing and exploring within our welcoming baby room. The room offers babies the ability to play and learn independently as well as beginning to develop their social skills and self expression.
The outdoor setting and associated activities provide an alternative learning environment which complements the indoor teaching space. The Nursery feels that these positive risk taking activities allow children to grow in a supervised outdoor environment. We believe behaviour can be improved indoors and at home if children are given the ability to learn and express themselves outdoors.

Peter Pan Nursery is a wonderful nursery. A place where children can grow and thrive through learning and play. The outdoor space for the children to play and learn in is fabulous. There is plenty of space for them to explore and even a little vegetable garden where they get to plant seeds and watch them grow over time, eventually taking a share of them home to eat for their dinner.
I moved my little one to Peter Pan when he was 18 months old. The staff were very attentive, friendly and caring. He has since moved onto reception at our local primary school. Thanks to his time at Peter Pan Nursery

My Child Has been Attending this Nursery Since 10 months old and has absolutely thrived here. I can not tell you how much i appreciate the way this nursery works. As a mother of 3 children they have all been to different nursery's , Peter-pan Nursery is by far the best, they teach not only curriculum based learning but also the important values in life and true life skills.

My son has recently moved on to school from spending nearly 4 years at Peter Pan, he has thrived in the small and family like environment. He’s loved making wonderful memories and exploring the inspiring space the nursery is set in.
My Daughter has been at the nursery for two years and she loves it!! She’s made wonderful friendships and great relationships with all the staff.
She’s always excited to go to nursery and we couldn’t ask for a better place for both of our children to have spent their early years.
Thank you Peter Pan Nursery.

A brilliant nursery. Both my girls attended from 6 and 8 months old. From our first step through their door we knew this was the nursery for us. Denise and her team supported my children and us through the very important early years of their lives and are still there for us even though we left in September 2017. I would thoroughly recommend this nursery.

I have 4 children. We have moved from Paignton to Torquay, to Coventry and now to Australia. I work as an Early Years coordinator, a National Quality Asessor (Ofsted inspector equivalent in UK) and I assess Early Years educators for level 3 status here in Australia. In my career and with all my children I have never been to any Early Years establishment that comes close to how amazing Peter Pans Nursery is! My 2 youngest attended there for several years. You walk in and it immediately feels like family!!The educators are warm and friendly and nothing is ever too much for them concerning you and

This nursery is absolutely amazing. I do not know what my family and I would have done without Denise and her team. My twin boys attended from the age of 1 and with one twin very poorly during these early years, life was hard with frequent hospital runs, yet the nursery staff were like a 2nd family supporting us. With Oliver’s additional health needs, Denise and her team adapted the environment and their approach to allow Oliver to attend to access the same learning opportunities that his twin brother was experiencing. The picturesque setting, fresh air and fabulous teaching has meant my boys

Our little boy attended Peter Pan's for one year. The nursery appears very organised & to have a strict routine which does not allow for much flexibility. It is very much a school type environment, I would not describe it as a warm and nurturing nursery. Visibility of the day, interactions with your child and other such progress updates are challenging. We were told upon enrolment that we would agree a quarterly target for his development, to be jointly reviewed on a regular basis, this also did not happen during our time at the nursery. There is no daily report card system and we struggled to

Absolutely amazing nursery! Denise and her team are just amazing - my 2 little ones have been going for 1 & 3 years now and have never had an issue, they just love going in and come home happy every day. We love that it's a small place and there's a great big outdoor space too - the children get to play outside almost every day, even in winter - as long as it's dry and everyone is wrapped up! This is a hidden gem, and worth our 20 minute commute every morning!!
