Services
Hillfields Nursery School was the first combined nursery centre in the country, developed in the late 1960s and opened in 1971. From the beginning, the aims of the centre were to meet the needs of the Hillfields community, by providing family support, health services, day care and education for children from birth to five and their families.
Hillfields Nursery School offers a broad, enquiry based curriculum to promote opportunities for children to learn, grow and develop. We endeavour to engage all children and our community in learning and achieving. We aim to support children and our community to achieve all of their dreams.
Our Nursery School upholds high expectations and aspirations, working with children and families, striving to enable our children to achieve their highest potential. Each child is a unique individual who has the potential to grow.

I have worked as a teacher in Coventry for over 15 years. I have always enjoyed working in the Early Years and so when the opportunity to work at Hillfields Nursery School came up it was too good to miss. I live nearby with my daughter and our pets. My daughter is now at secondary school, growing up too fast.
To support our delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) we have a clear, ambitious curriculum planned, This offers opportunities and provocation to support every child to learn. We spend time ensuring we know children's previous experiences and what their interests are so we are able to build successfully on the knowledge and skills they bring.
Hillfields Nursery School is an inclusive School and we welcome children with Special Educational Needs. We are keen to support every child and where necessary seek out appropriate advice and training from professionals. Some members of staff have specific training in key areas allowing them to support children with a wide range of Special Educational Needs.
