Coulsdon Church of England Primary School is a Voluntary Aided Primary School, first founded in 1834, and committed to providing a Christian based education for up to 210 boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 11. We believe in a holistic approach to Education delivered in a Christian and supportive community.

The governing body is looking to appoint one Foundation Governors who will be a worshipping member of St John's Church. Foundation Governors are appointed by the PCC for a term of 4 years, and are expected to attend 4 full governing body meetings a year, plus involvement on at least one committee. If you would like an informal chat or would like more information please contact the church office, or the Chair of Governors.
The 150 million per year funding is provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health, and Culture, Media and Sport (DfE, DH, DCMS). The funding is allocated directly to primary schools and is ring-fenced. This means it may only be spent on improving the provision of PE and sport in schools.
At Coulsdon C of E we aim to motivate and encourage all children to reach their full potential, spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically. We recognise that an appreciation of each child's strengths can enable the individual to feel valued, and we are aware of the importance of giving all children equal opportunities.
LGFL has an online service so parents/carers can check their eligibility for free school meals. If you are eligible the school is you can print a certificate and send a copy to the school office. Even if your child does not wish to have a school meal but is still entitled, PLEASE register as the school receives funding for each child entitled to free meals.
