How and why NHS Digital collects, analyses, publishes and shares data collected from GP practices for planning and research. We are accepting new patients. You can download a registration form from our "Registration" page or you can pop into the Surgery for more information and a registration form.

We do not take prescription requests over the phone at the surgery. Court Street Medical Practice is joining the NHS Prescription Ordering Direct (POD) Service. Alternatively you can order online via Patient Access or the NHS App. If you're a patient at our practice you can now use the new NHS App, a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet.
Services
We also provide various treatments for minor skin lesions and will soon be fully equipped to perform minor surgery. If you would like any information about any of these services please speak to the administration staff. TRAQS is a unique service for patients in Telford and Wrekin allowing you to be seen in the right place, first time.
There are usually 2 doctors consulting morning and afternoon each day. You are entitled to see the doctor of your choice but as their clinics vary each week, you will need to check clinic times with reception. One doctor is on-call at all times on a rota system. The receptionist may ask you for a reason for the appointment.
You do not require a doctor's sickness certificate for any illness lasting seven days or less. If you are sick for more than seven days, your employer can ask you to give them some form of medical evidence to support payment of SSP (Statutory Sick Pay). It is up to your employer to decide whether you are incapable of work.
If you feel you need a home visit we would be grateful if the request could be made before 11.00am as this makes it easier to plan our day. In reality very few home visits are necessary, except of course in cases where patients are housebound and seriously ill. You will be telephoned prior to any visit to assess the urgency and nature of the visit.

After me going back and forth ringing so many different people trying to find paperwork that was supposed to have been sent to my doctor weeks ago and having no luck. Anne (sp?) on reception went above and beyond, contacted people who hadn't been helpful for me and found what was needed. Super friendly and empathetic, exactly the type of person needed for the job.

This surgery showed me zero care or compassion when I attempted to see someone regarding a lump in my breast. I was temporarily resident in the area, I went to the surgery at 8am when they opened. Only one patient was there. I agreed to register with them temporarily just to see a doctor or nurse regarding my lump. As a mother I was distraught and tearful at finding what I thought was cancer. The receptionist went away to speak to several person sat behind her at the office, she returned to say it would take their computers all day to upload my new patient details and therefore I should go home

Shocking how they spoke to my daughter. Great way to talk to young girls and wonder why so many have esteem issues. Dont listen when you tell them that thyroid conditions run in the family and dismiss acid reflux which could cause problems in the future. Gps are not doing their jobs atm. Should be seeing patients, you can not properly diagnose anything over the phone. How do you lose weight if you have an undiagnosed thyroid issue, almost impossible. Not impressed

A disappointing start with this group. The practice manager sorted a problem out and since then we have had the best of care. This is really a caring practice and I feel my husband who has multiple health problems is getting the best of attention now. The care is 100% better than that received at our previous practice in County Durham.
We can get a GP phone call within a few days. We get prompt notification and explanation of blood test results. We are confident we have chosen the right GP practice on moving to Madeley.

Terrible communication and Reception staff giving wrong information. Alerts texts sent to patients with learning difficulties who don't read. Instead of passing information to nominated persons. More reviews on medication that could be making a patient feel ill. Regular check ups on the vulnerable. Better communication with outside organisations like pharmacy. More empathy with people with mental health.

Visited the practice today after calling for an appointmemt yesterday. Although I had a 20 minute wait and saw a different doctor than normal, she was brilliant, very lovely, didn't rush me and listened to all my concerns and advised accordingly. As she was very thorough I now understand why my appointment was late. I would definitely recommend this doctors, been with them over 25 years and would never change. Well done all the staff.
