All GP practices are affected by the current national shortage of blood tubes and are taking urgent steps alongside our hospitals to prioritise their use for people with the greatest clinical need. This includes testing for serious conditions such as cancer. We are following national guidance which has been issued in response to the shortage.

As a result, we need to cancel and delay a number of patient appointments for blood tests deemd routine or non-urgent. If you have a routine blood test appointment the reception team at the surgery will be in touch directly if they need to cancel your appointment, this will be by phone or by text message.
Services
If you register for this you will need to come to the surgery with two forms of identification. One must be photographic, i.e. passport, driving licence, bus pass, and one must contain evidence of your address i.e. utility bill. We will then finalise your registration so that you are able to make telephone appointments with your doctor and you will be able to order your repeat prescriptions.
We have two practice nurses who, between them, provide a full service five days a week. In addition, they run a number of specialists clinics. They are happy to see patients regarding any health matters and all consultations are completely confidential. Our receptionists organise appointment times, answer your telephone enquiries and welcome you when you come to the surgery.
Storing information in one place makes it easier for healthcare staff to treat you in an emergency, or when your GP practice is closed. This information could make a difference to how a doctor decides to care for you, for example which medicines they choose to prescribe for you. No, it is not compulsory.
Here's a checklist of the vaccines that are routinely offered to everyone in the UK for free on the NHS, and the age at which you should ideally have them. Having an ill child can be a very scary experience for parents. If you understand more about the illness it can help you to feel more in control.
Healthtalkonline, an award-winning charity website, lets you share in other people's experiences of health and illness. An excellent resource compiled after interviewing a wide range of people suffering from heart disease. An excellent resource with useful video, audio, images and references relating to differing forms of Cancer, the causes & treatments.

Wednesday 8th September 2021:
We had to pop in here for an unforseen emergency and the telephone nurse come receptionist was fantastic.
Even though it's not our local surgery, they were absolutely amazing.
A HUGE THANK YOU TO YOU ALL AND ESPECIALLY TO "DR. COCKERELL" (hope I've spelt it correctly?)...
God bless you all, stay safe and take care.
Thank you once again, what a lovely, helpful friendly and accommodating Surgery. We will always remember our unforseen but welcoming visit here! Luckily we weren't too far being on the canal about 15 minutes walk away, phew!

This surgery is superb! The two Doctors are friendly and professional and they always give you time to discuss your concerns and conditions. They both work incredibly hard to find remedies and solutions.
The nursing staff are also efficient and can deal with almost every minor problem. The Reception staff are helpful and will always try to secure an appointment that fits your schedule. They even offer extended opening hours which can be most useful.
Thank You!
