Choose from Carrot Cake, Dorset Apple Cake, Chocolate Brownie and the Fennel Sultana Flapjack. The bakery at Windsbatch Farm, in the old dairy enabled us to grow the business and venture into wholesale to Farm Shops as well as West Dorset Farmers Markets. Our move to New Street Bakery has given us the opportunity to diversify and to offer traditional artisan baking as well as the pie range.

We look forward to serving our customers in Dorchester and further afield. In these days of mass food production hand made food using locally sourced ingredients is becoming the first choice for discerning customers.

Traditional sourdough fermentation relies on "wild yeast" and lactic acid bacteria that are naturally present in flour to leaven the bread. Wild yeast is more resistant to acidic conditions than baker's yeast. The mix of wild yeast, lactic acid bacteria, flour and water used to make sourdough bread is called a "starter."
