Hickleton Golf Club
Hickleton Golf Club is located in open countryside in the heart of South Yorkshire between the towns of Doncaster, Rotherham and Barnsley, yet only three miles from junction 37 of the A1(M). The original 9-hole course was founded in 1909 with the current 18-hole layout opening in 1976, which was designed by the Ryder Cup players Neil Coles and Brian Huggett.

Since 1976 the course has been developed into one of the finest and challenging courses in the South Yorkshire region. The course is an undulating parkland course with tree-lined fairways and fantastic panoramic views over South Yorkshire and the eastern Pennines. In the words of many visitors to Hickleton: 'a superb course with magnificent scenery.'
Services
Hickleton has long been able to boast a very active membership. Within the general membership of over 500 we have the Mens, Ladies, Seniors, Rabbits and Junior Sections. Members enjoy full playing rights at the club as well as the use of the clubhouse and associated facilities. The club is affiliated to all the local and national golf unions so you can enjoy the privileges of playing in numerous competitions around the county and beyond.
At Hickleton golf club we have recently established some great links with primary schools, most notably at Owston Park Primary School. Assistant Professional Jak Lee has played a key role in securing funding for the school with their upcoming golf project, in which a miniature golf course is being built on site.
Although handicap certificates are not mandatory, we do prefer golfers to be of a sufficient standard for them to be able to enjoy their round and for them not to inconvenience other players when out on the course. EN-GB>The following items of dress are always unacceptable - un-tailored or sports shorts, T-shirts, tracksuits, denim jeans on the course, football/rugby type shirts.
Everyone in business is constantly striving for that added edge or advantage that sets them apart from the competition. A company golf day held at Hickleton is an opportunity to spoil your guests, and so develop and build relationships. We can take care of most of the hard work of event planning, giving you the opportunity to spend more time with your guests.
The pro shop offers a range of equipment, clothing, shoes, accessories and a repair/custom fit service. Our PGA professional team, provides a first class teaching service, offering playing lessons on the course or one on one and group lessons (using different types of teaching aids including video lessons).

Lovely course in good condition. Reception can be a mixed bag. Lots of hills to negotiate!
