The Government believes that the Pupil Premium, which is additional to main school funding, is the best way to address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals (FSM) and their peers by ensuring that funding to tackle disadvantage reaches the pupils who need it most.
We are committed to giving all our children every opportunity to achieve the highest of standards. This policy helps to ensure that this happens for all the children in our school - regardless of their age, gender, ethnicity, attainment or background. Every Child Matters is the Government's plan to reform and improve children's care and was written in response to the inquiry into the death of eight-year-old Victoria Climbie.

I was a visitor to the school working with KS1. I was made to feel very welcome. The teaching staff were brilliant. All of the children I came into contact with were extremely well behaved and polite. There were lots of lovely displays in the classrooms and a sense of calm even though extensive rebuilding work was in progress and obviously causing disruption to normal routines. What a great school. I was most impressed.
