It is with enormous gratitude and respect that I write this post about my little dog's vet Mr John Bowie. John is a genuinely caring and compassionate vetinary surgeon who acts with integrity and honesty and empathy towards his patients. John's support helps my little dog maintain his dignity, joy for and quality of life, whilst being on palliative care. I cannot praise this quietly spoken, gentle unassuming man highly enough, than to say that he sets the bar high for those that follow and his patients are incredibly lucky to have him as their vet.

We had to have our beloved 15 year old Welsh Springer Spanial Dylan, put to rest 10 days ago. What could have been a traumatic experience, was in actual fact peaceful, and calm. This I put down to the wonderful, caring staff at Swanspool Veterinary Surgery. It's a time I will never forget, but for all the right reasons.
A big thank you to you all.

We sadly had to have our beloved 15yr old dog Lucy put to sleep last week. The staff there were so understanding & comforting to us, giving us time to say our goodbyes & leaving us with our girl after she had gone. It was late in the evening but we were not rushed in anyway. We collected her ashes this week & the staff were so good. We have used this vets for many years & I would recommend them to anyone.

I can't praise this veterinary surgery enough. We took Ollie to see them after he stopped eating and was generally not quite himself. Sadly after leaving Ollie with the wonderful staff, we were told he had a lump in his stomach that was too far gone to do anything with. They gave him steroids and we took him home, praying for a miracle. For just over a week he did perk up, and then he stopped eating and drinking again. We had been warned this might happen, but of course this was our Ollie and when you have had someone in your life for nearly 9 years, accepting the reality is hard. Anyway we spoke
