Services
From environmental substances like pollen, mould or dust mites, to parasites such as fleas and mites, or food allergies, there are lots of things that can cause pet allergies. If your dog or cat is gnawing at their skin, chewing its paws or scratching generally, it may be suffering from an allergy skin condition.
Choose your cat carrier wisely, think about how you will get your cat into it, is it secure, can you comfortably lift it? Line the carrier with absorbent material in case your cat makes a 'mess'. Keep your cat carrier out in the house, feed your pet in the carrier, or even use the carrier as your cat's bed.
We believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great!
Substances and items that can be toxic to cats and dogs include many which you may have heard of before as well as some less common ones! The following list includes some possible examples of substances and is not a definitive list.

If you suspect your pet has been poisoned, seek veterinary advice, identify the substance, collect any packaging which may help your vet with diagnosis and treatment and do not attempt to make your pet vomit (unless instructed to by the vet).If you think your pet has been poisoned or has been in contact with a toxic substance, contact us.
As pet owners, we endeavour to make sure that our faithful companions stay fit and healthy, enabling them to live to an old age. Unfortunately, our pets do not live as long as us and at some point, we will have to prepare to let them go. Sadly, few of our pets pass peacefully away in their sleep. Therefore, we all wish to do the right thing at the right time, fulfilling our responsibility and commitment in their final days.

My young terrier became very poorly after eating something he shouldn’t have. The staff at the vets were so helpful and provided a prompt And empathetic response. Little Bear recovered rapidly due to the vets Care.

My dog Buster has been looked after for 13 years by these vets. They have been professional and compassionate throughout. And have helped me to do the right things for Buster's health and happiness.

We went there yesterday morning to get our 8 month old Cavapoo Yogi 'snipped'. We were both a little nervous but from what we have read it made sense not to leave it too long, so we were prepared to do it. Thankfully, we were met by a lovely locum Vet who took the time to explain to us that there is no rush and that the thinking that you should 'snip' male dogs early dates back to the 80's and is put of date now as the modern position is that you should let male dogs go through their adolescence period before having the procedure if at all. I wish I knew her name to give her a shout out, but she

My old girl is a regular visitor here, we go at least once a month! A few years ago she was literally "on her last legs" in fact we thought we were going to say goodbye to her, but thanks to Lake View you would barely even know now.
They are friendly and know both me and my cat every time we go in. They couldn't do more for us and I would never consider changing vets.

I liked this veterinary practice, but the vote comes down to your pet. My dog, who is a nervous little man, loved it. He had some dental work and a couple of extractions done.
The vet that looked after him was great. All treatment and possible treatment explained on arrival, and when I collected the little man, aftercare explained as well as administration of pain relief. If my nervous little dog likes this vets, it must be good.

Excellent Veterinary practice. Extremely welcoming, prompt attention and detailed but understandable information. Highly recommended. Oh that my GP Service was anywhere near that good!
