Barrow C E V C Primary School
With high expectations and Christian values at the heart of our ethos, we INSPIRE and value individual, independent learning so that everyone in school is able to be the best that they can be. Placing children at the centre of everything we do, we CREATE a strong, life-long learning community of staff and children in our warm and welcoming rural environment.

A rich and vibrant curriculum ensures that children DISCOVER and develop skills and understanding across a stimulating range of subjects. Our inclusive school community celebrates diversity and works TOGETHER with families and the wider community to prepare our children to be positive and active members of society.
Services
I am delighted to introduce this website which I hope provides you with an insight into all that makes Barrow CEVC Primary School such an outstanding place to learn. I am immensely proud to be the Headteacher of this vibrant learning community where excellence, equality and high expectations of all pupils are promoted within a strong Christian ethos.
We have developed our curriculum over the last year to ensure that we continue to meet, and indeed, exceed the requirements of the national curriculum. As we look forward to our expansion to a full primary, we are now prepared to provide our pupils with a knowledge-rich education from EYFS to Year 6 to ensure their future success as they move from Barrow into KS3 at Year 7.
At the start of the new school year, we take time to understand ourselves - our thoughts, beliefs and feelings. We find our own voice and use it to interact with our teachers and other learners in a positive way. Now that we are comfortable with ourselves and those around us, we widen our view to those in the past who have created something that lasts.
The safety and well-being of our pupils is of paramount importance to us. We continue to work hard to put into place the best policies, procedures and practice to ensure that safeguarding at Barrow is highly effective. With that aim in mind, we want to ensure that you as parents are well informed about reporting procedures and roles of the key people we have in school.
On the following pages, you will find general information about the school, including details of term dates, uniforms, and newsletters. The office is open from 8.45am to 4.00pm every school day where the team is prepared to answer any questions that you have. In addition, if you wish to make an appointment with a member of staff, please contact the office.
