All patients who have developed a new cough or fever are being asked to self isolate at home and to contact 111 if their condition gets worse. Further guidance is available online on 111.nhs.uk and gov.uk or you can call 111 if you cannot get help online. City Health Centre was founded by Dr Kathuria in 1982 and has been serving patients for over 30 years.

Dr Kathuria retired in 2017 and the Practice is now run by Dr Iffat Haider and Mr Kasim Choudhary. City Health Centre aims to provide a high standard of medical care in a friendly, efficient and professional manner. The staff work together as a team of healthcare professionals with the support of community staff and other organisations.

If you require medical attention when the surgery is closed please telephone the NHS 111 Service on 111. Please think about the other options that are available to you before attending a Hospital A & E department as this is intended for Accidents and Emergencies and should not be used for minor ailments or conditions.
Please ring during Practice opening times to make an appointment to see a doctor, practice nurse or healthcare assistant. City Health Centre is a member of My Healthcare and can offer evening and weekend face to face GP, Nurse and Healthcare Assistant appointments from Burbury, Fernbank, Fernley, Harborne, River Brook and West Heath Hubs.
Please request your Repeat Prescriptions by Slip and by Dispensed Containers only. If you would like Repeat prescription posted please supply a SASE (Self addressed stamped envelope). Failure to provide Repeat Prescription slips could delay in prescribing. Hospital Discharge letters needing medication must be handed over at reception at Repeat Prescription Timings with you recent prescriptions slip.

I have been a patient at City Health Centre for seven years. Everyone from the front desk through to the nurses and doctors have always been helpful and professional and I have always felt looked after. I would like to mention Dr Morris in particular. In other surgeries some Doctors can leave us feeling dismissed and unheard, but Dr Morris is always thorough and will take the time to make you feel listened to - I have always felt like I am in safe hands. Nurse Stevie Pugh is also excellent at her job and has always made me feel valued and cared for as a patient. I am reluctantly leaving the surgery

A deeply terrible place. I assume the actual doctors are competent, but I can't be sure as it's not possible to see one. A two month wait to register as a patient due to 'short staffing' is just appalling, and simply fobbing people off during this period by suggesting they contact the urgent care hub is not acceptable. Maybe consider hiring an admin temp to help with processing the registrations???
Avoid if you have any other options.

They have consistently ignored my emails and calls about a request they are processing for me. This has been on-going since May and is limiting my access to health care.
I have been told that "management will contact you" for months and have never received any contact.
All I wanted was access to health care and they have failed to do this. Had their been issues in the process I can work with that but the wall of silence has put me at risk.

Doctors are decent, but the support staff is incredibly rude, untrained, and don't want to help sick people in need. It takes forever to get through via phone and doctors are slow to respond to requests. Really poorly run institution

No words to explain how bad this experience was at city health centre. Reception department is useless, no idea what they are doing there. It takes a while to receive call back and the midwife never answers. I haven't been well this year and being a patient there stressed me a lot!

It does seem this surgery needs to review it procedures urgently!
I've never used s doctor's that seem to do their level best to make things as difficult as possible for everyone concerned.
Don't register with them, they just make going to the doctors or getting a repeat prescription a trauma in itself.

Receptionist I’ve talked with is definitely not qualified for this job. I’ve tried to get an appointment to see a nurse to change a dressing for 2 days, she just said it’s no nurse in the practice. I’ve asked for a manager, no manager in the practice. My question is: how does a walk in practice work if you don’t have any clinician or a manager in?
Ending up going to a different walk in centre where nurses are working and they don’t need specialist to change a dressing.

The ladies on reception are some of the most incompetent, useless & quite often rude people I have ever encountered. They put people’s health at risk with their knowledge and decision making. Desperately need training and education in the medical field in order to successfully do their job.

Initially I was pretty annoyed with the practice but theyve really swung my opinion.
I rang at about 2pm as they're not taking walk in appointments. (I was convinced I'd need to be seen by someone) I was told I'd get a call back around an hour and a half later, around that time I got a text asking for a picture of the injury. I waited just over another hour and then decided I was just going to go home and go to A&E. I was on hold for around 15 mins and then cancelled the appointment.
Immediately after cancelling I got a call from the nurse I explained I'd cancelled the appointment but asked if

Slowest service going. Had a call to get an appointment, they sent off that request a week later then it took 2 months for a letter to arrive saying that i will recieve a call to arrange something and that was 2 and a half months ago. Emailed to order a prescription 5 days a go and haven't received a reply yet about it.
I can't say i blame them but just to add the staff on the phone are really rude sometimes.
