I have never had a bad experience here and I have been going years never been disappointed and I love the wide selections for music on different floors. Looking forward to going again if they haven't closed down.

Just seen a review from someone saying that the Venue has closed down. Sorry to disappoint you mate but their social media says they are reopening when it's safe to do so. Roll on end of lockdown and get back on the cheesy floor!

Great nightclub, great music for everyone provides you with hours of fun whilst not feeling like it drags. All staff are lovely. The customer care for lost items is great. They are quickly responsive when they check to find everything they leave no corner unturned. Would really recommend this club. 😊

Great atmosphere, I always feel safe. Drinks are not expensive, several stages to move around and change the music. Dj sometimes lets you choose a song which is really nice and fun ^^ I lost my ID card and they posted it back to me, great customer service! Will come again :)

So I came to this club to celebrate the new year. The music was good and the employees serving the drinks were exceptional. Unfortunately I do find some of the bouncers quite rude and lack patience. Also had an incident with the cloakroom staff which had lost my coat (Abercrombie and Fitch designer coat) and blatantly said they haven’t got it without them even properly search for it and refused to listen to me. I then said I will be complaining if I don’t get my coat that night as I had given them the token back and one of the workers’ - a lady said “go and write a complaint then”. As

Great music and a variety for whatever you're feeling. My friends and I love coming here for a good dance, especially enjoying that heels aren't a requirement but still allowed plus jeans! The team there were so kind and helpful when I lost my phone! Always have a great night whenever I visit!

I am giving venue 4 starts due to the club is brilliant I love and enjoyed every moment of it. But the security guards are not friendly what so ever and venue is my local club. I'm afraid due to the security guards venue will go downhill. But rather then that it is a fun place to be and cheaper then other clubs. You also have a smoking area on the roof but cannot take your drinks out which ain't a problem due to the health and safety policy. But really they need to change the security guys at the door.

Tacky, white trash place. No idea why on earth people actually travel to New Cross and go to the Venue. Dude you're in London, you can do better than this. The crowd is aggressively drunk, drugs and fights. It has a bad reputation around anyway.

Bad music... All the girls had barely anything on and were way too drunk to even be there.. And it's rather secret that it's considerably more expensive to enter for men. The sofas were around a dance floor, which made dancing awkward and there were a few men just taking pics on their phones of girls. It's ridiculous. I love a good night out but this was targeting the vulnerable! Plus they got two of our drinks wrong! Rude staff and took their time to even take my order when the bar was empty!

Drinks reasonable prices. Loads of choices of music on different floors (chart, guilty pleasures (can't say no to a cheeky bit of S Club 7!) indie/rock plus a 90's room that's quite fun. Easy going crowd, thankfully not edgy like it can be in West End clubs sometimes. Plus they've got a cocktail bar overlooking the main floor.

I've been coming to the venue for a few years now and have to say I love the new security there this weekend. Gone are the moody, rude old bouncers and hopefully here to stay are a professional, happy bunch that don't mind a chat. You can feel the better vibe as soon as you get to the front door. Good decision Venue.

Do you like your floors sticky and your music loud? If so, The Venue is the place for you!

For many years now, The Venue has been a great place to come to watch bands. In actuality, one of THE ONLY reasons to come to New Cross. The building that houses The Venue is actually a pretty grand affair. Aside the sticky floors, the building seems to be well maintained (I have seen a two-man team cleaning the walls early in the evening!).

Most of the bands appearing at The Venue are tribute acts, so if you are thinking of going to the top floor to check out tribute versions of ABBA, The Killers or The

Dank pit of all things untoward The Venue is perhaps only notable for the savage, dark beating heart that seems to ravage at its inerds.

Carved from a resurrected cinema build The Venue is a monolith to New Cross acting as an inciter to all things unholy of the night.

It's towering heap sprawls across at least three floors of thronging wrongness with an indie room atop and a space for cover bands on the lower floor all other things lie inbetween.

Drunken wild beasts often prowl around the stairwells stalking some unknown meandering pray, as yet undiscovered, occasionally screeing

The venue has five different floors, all of which has a different type of music. THere are live tribute bands but some are actually very good, espeically the Elvis impersonater. It is true what bigdaveshot said about getting in early for a fiver, it is dead and I believe that it is nice to start off somewhere else. Drinks are quite expensive and it is great to have a change of scenery. We try to get in teh venue before midnight, after which it can get more expensive, then straight to the bar for a few snakebites then we hit the dance floor. At the end of the night, it is a trip to the kebab shop

Ok so where to start about this cattle market.

Oh i guess that's a good place. this is a cattle market, where teenyboppers go to try and pull other teenyboppers to add to the currently high teen preg rate.. he he.

other than that its actually quite a nice local club.

The music is usually cheesy but the main room has tribute bands that are quite good, and its not too expensive,

When you go in it is a lot smarter than expected. the outside gives the total wrong impression.

I have been here many times when I was younger but not as much now im 25. It is more suited for the as I

First thing is first- the stars. the reason for three stars?- its just too expenive, and could seriously do with a lick of paint. one of the problems is getting in for a fiver before 9 pm- trouble is theres no one there, and no other room open. i recently went to the venue, and to my suprise they have closed the old entrance, and built a new one on the other side. this leads into the oh so awful fagans bar! the venue now has a new room- the 90's room. which i consider to be one of the best rooms there. the benefits of the venue? well, its open till 4 am, and you can still get the bus home

The Venue is a great place if you want a fun and care-free night out. They have coverbands starting the night and a variety of floors covering all tastes in music. Fair enough your feet do stick to the floor and you get drinks in plastic cups, but it has a fantastic atmosphere and when I have been I have never seen any trouble. The crowd does feel young, even for a 23year old - but it the perfect place to let your hair down and relive your youth with the funky music and friendly feeling everyone exudes.

A genuine spit-and-sawdust club, feet sticking to the floor place with wideboys, painted ladies and drugged teenagers. Having said that, we always find at least some music we like on one of the floors, the bouncers are surprisingly chilled out (my mate was supposed to be kicked out for tomfoolery and the bloke actually let him off!), and the view from the smoking area makes everything worthwhile.

I live across the road from here, and this place is always rather busy, and there are so many different bands playing here. The onky catch is, these are all cover bands. Perfect if you are into that, and are desperate to re live abit of blondie, or beatles.. or even the arctic monkeys! It is quite a big place on the new cross road (in all its glory) and is a fun night out. The prices range, from around £7 to £12, but often you can get in cheaper before midnight. Make sure you bring your I.D and you're sorted.
