There has been a little branch practice at the old premises at the back of Market Street for about 30 years. The facilities have not really changed much over the years and it has only been able to offer a limited service to the community of Shaw. It is now time to move into a new building on Market Street so we can offer a full service to the pets in Shaw and the surrounding areas.
We will of course still provide the same care and friendly welcome that we have always strived to deliver to ensure the best care for your pet. We maintain our links with Crown House Vets in Rochdale but are now able to offer a full range of services to diagnose and treat your pet in Shaw.

Pet insurance provides cover for veterinary fees in the event that your pet becomes injured or unwell. It can provide peace of mind that you're in a position to afford all the veterinary care your pet may need. With veterinary medicine employing expensive medical techniques and medication, and with pet owners caring more and more about their pets' health, pet insurance is becoming increasingly popular.
If your insurer asks you to complete your claim online, what we need from you will be greatly simplified. Please note the process may differ between insurers. Attach the clinical history, along with a copy of any payments you've made (you do not have to keep any receipts). Please note the processing of direct claims is discretionary and based on the relationship between the insurer and the clinic.
We believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great!
We've partnered with Video Vets Now so you can speak to a vet from home or out and about - 7 days a week between 8am and 11pm. Consults are 10 mins and cost 24. If your pet needs to be seen by us or Vets Now, your original 24 payment will be refunded. We partnered with Video Vets Now to help you get the advice and reassurance you need, wherever you are.

Absolutely fantastic! I changed from Animals Trust to Crown House Vets and I couldn't be happier! All the staff are lovely and thoughtful, prices are reasonable, there's always appointments available and somebody always answers the phone. I've been to the Shaw establishment and the Rochdale one and both are great couldn't fault anything! :) Thankyou

Shaw Vets is so handy for our needs, I live 50 yards from the front door, the receptionist was friendly and helpful, the vet was brilliant with our Willow as this was her first visit to the vets, I would highly recommend to everyone.

The staff here are amazing. The breeder used this vet so that was good enough for me and I wanted my puppy to be familiar with the surroundings.
Thank you for everything you have all been incredible, answered my many questions patiently and been so lovely. Georgie loved being fussed by you all when she was poorly.
