Excellent vibe, very cool place. Mark (resistant proprietor) was gracious and welcoming. 7 kitchens and lots of options from a delicious menu--Sushi, robots grill, sashimi, starters, desserts, bar, and other kitchens. We ordered at least 20-25 diff items a La carte. They offer a sharing menu which would have been great too.
We had a variety of drinks all crafted nicely btwn the casa azul, mezcal smoking spicy dink to an elderflower/mango infused passion fruit drink and wonderful food. We were on time but we're rushed along by the waiter who was aggressive about moving the orders along

Was taken here as a suprise for my birthday recently! Lively atmosphere. We came on a Saturday quite early 5pm. There was a DJ playing and people dancing around as well as eating! The food is good- probably one of the nicer asian high end restaurants I've been to. Portion sizes are as you would expect in these establishments. I forgot to take picture of the rest of my food as it doesn't come all at once which you are forewarned. All was nicely done and well presented. My only problem was that, I had ordered some purple mash to accompany my mains... this came at the very end after we had finished

I love the food at Chotto Matte. It’s always a nice experience to be here. At this last time, my friends and I were asked to leave the table after 2h and we still haven’t ordered the dessert. I told the friendly waiter that I didn’t get any notification in my booking that I would need to give the table back in 2h, so he found a place for us at the bar downstairs, which was nice as well. We managed to rush to eat our dessert and then went to the bar to close the night with a good Champagne.

Came here for an anniversary meal and we weren't disappointed. Tried the Nikkei #3 sharing menu which is reasonably good value for £75 per head. We certainly felt full by the end of the meal! Highlights were the ceviche and miso black cod - the cod was so tender it was sublime! Cocktails were also great and the service was attentive, friendly and fast. Comfortable seating and fun vibe with the volume just right to be able to enjoy both the music and conversation. The dessert platter was extremely generous with a bit of everything!

Unusual (at least for me) combination for fusion - Japanese and Peruvian, but it works. We had the vegetarian sharing menu and the California roll. The taste is great and the portions were sufficient for two (we could not finish all). The service was very quick and friendly, all in all a nice place for food and drinks!

Every single thing about this place is perfection. Every dish we ordered was so delicious and the service we received was incredible. Our waiter Sabi was so friendly and took such great care of us through the night and made it that much more of a memorable experience. The decor is so quirky and edgy. Ive just found my new favourite restaurant

I am absolutely in love with the decor and vibes. However the food was just OK. Come for the scene not the food. The otoro aburi with foie gras that I ordered was disappointing. It was not otoro with all that nice fat between the lean bits but regular tuna. There were barely any fatty striations - so it doesn't really warrant the high price. The other sushi pieces I got were also just OK - scallop mediocre, Suzuki mediocre. The machu pichu dessert was fairly good.

Went here for my birthday on Black Friday, restaurant was packed but super lively (my type of aura). Music befitted the location but it's really loud. I don't mind, but could be a deal breaker for someone else.
If you're not an adventurous food taster/foodie you may only like a select few items.
- I recommend the lamb chops as they were seasoned w/ a sweet barbecue tasting marinade -- small portions BUT i was satisfied.
- King oyster tostadas were meh, didn't expect it to be cold but I can see someone else enjoying it.

This place feels like it's in a fantasy land, where performances were happening and changing every minute under the loud talks, bustling front-of-house staff, memorable decor, and vibrant lights in this tucked-away restaurant where a take-away is a rock with every sitting diner.

A nice upscale swanky restaurant with something different to offer. The decor is really amazing and there are a few different open kitchens (sushi bar, grill and pantry) and the bathroom area is trip in itself. The service was incredible and overall it was a good vibe.
The food was okay. There were some items that were a hit and some items that were pretty average. I would come back to try more items.

HOLLY MOLLY! Perfection. First and foremost, the place is beautiful, lively and loud- total Miami vibe. The decor is so nice and the loud music was great. Every single dish we ordered was delicious. I couldn't pick a favorite but the yellow tail was just WOW. Drinks arrived fast and our waitress was nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice, classy but fun place. Can't wait to come back.

Came for a date night with my husband and we had a wonderful evening. The whole restaurant is a vibe. You walk in and the place is spacious with high ceilings that might even be open if weather permitting. It is beautifully decorated with two different scenery. At the entrance you have cherry blossom trees decor and as you go in it's elegant and modern. The music makes you feel like you're in a south beach lounge and the food is pretty good. I gave it four stars bc we liked most of our dishes but not all and if it wasn't for the actual day we went with their 50% off I think their

I was super excited to try this place! First off, the decor and ambiance is exactly what everyone raves about. I'm a sucker for an experience and this place gave us an incredible experience from start to finish. The only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 was due to food temperature and flavour. We tried soooo many dishes and most of them were not hot, some barely warm. I also expected a Peruvian flare of spice which I felt wasn't at its max potential.

With the entrance tucked away in the side of an alley, Chotto Matte has more on the inside than you can guess from its outwards appearance. We came here to eat for a friend's birthday, and the menu had a-la-carte items but we went with the Sharing Menu II which is reminiscent of omakase style. I quite enjoyed the sharing menu as we didn't have to think about what to order and just ate whatever came. I would say the highlight of the menu for me was the excellent fish, which was cooked to perfection and very flavorful.

This place was such a cool spot!! The ambiance is beautiful and the service is fast, with good food. What's not to like? I only docked it for the volume, I love a good time and music, don't get me wrong, but it was so incredibly loud it was hard to hear. It's a good set up with the fixed menu for groups, but you will only be able to hear those sitting next to you.
We did the group menu for $155/person, it comes with tons of shareables and huge portions!!

We came here for a friends birthday, there were 18 of us and our waiter was so attentive to our needs. He recommended such amazing dishes, we ordered a lot more but I was too hungry to take pics of everything. The only thing is the fried rice and lamb chops were mediocre. The sushi was beyond good and the dessert with the Chocolate ball with coconut cake and dulce syrup was to die for. Some of the food that was suppose to be really good, was not! Other than that, I would def come back for the sushi and dessert!

Its a very lively restaurant great for friends.
If you want a quite place to eat this is not the place to go!

This restaurant had been on my list for some time and we stumbled across it by accident one night after getting paleta on the beach. You don't exactly see the restaurant if you're walking by, which I liked, because it makes it more hidden. It's off to the side of the building.

Phenomenal customer service and food. I was going to be late for my reservation, and called to let them know. They were very understanding. Then my reservation for 4 turned into me dining alone, and they were still very understanding.
The food is amazing! The decor was beautiful. The bartenders are so friendly. Shout out to Jorge for taking care of me! There was another bartender that was very friendly and recommended some bars to check out while I am in Miami. 10/10 would definitely come back!

Had a great experience here with a group of three on a Sunday night. Our service charge was 20% automatically (almost every place in Miami we went to had an automatic service charge). DIsclaimer: I did not come during happy hour and we decided to go for the food only and pass on the drinks.

Great experience here! We had a really nice waiter to take care of us (I think his name is Luca/Luka/Lucasz) and he made sure we had all we needed; the ambience was also nice, casual, relaxed and perfect for a… hot Sunday afternoon. Food was also excellent, well cooked (beef was melting in your mouth and the grilled octopus was just perfect). I recommend it if you want to try Japanese-Peruvian fusion cuisine.
