Services
We at The Lyme Nursery proudly feel that our mission statement "Invest in the Best" reflects the excellent reputation bestowed by our customers, Ofsted inspections and Investors in People. We work with you, the parents, to ensure every child in our care receives the right emotional, social and educational stability.
Our rooms are designed to accommodate smaller groups of children. It is imperative that our children feel happy, safe and secure in their environment. For every booking we offer FREE taster sessions which allows a period of time for your child to adapt to a new setting and set of routines. We complete a Daily Information Diary which parents can take home to see their child's progress and read about their daily activities and general information.
I can't believe that after 3 years of my son coming to Nursery every week that it's time to say 'goodbye'. I just want to say thank you so much for looking after him from a tiny baby to the big boy he is now! ALL of you have bought him on so much. Every single one of the girls has helped care for him and has had a massive impact on his life so far and I'm sure he won't forget any of you.

You can either make an appointment or just pop in at your convenience. The only tiny favour we ask is to avoid lunch time and shortly after (due to our little sleepers).

I have just dropped off my son for the last time at The Lyme and I must admit to having a tear in my eye. From 9 months old until ready for reception year at age 4, Reuben has attended the Lyme. The nursery has had a huge influence on his development into becoming a well liked, polite and bright young boy. Our children are obviously very special… to us as parents and I always felt that the staff at the nursery completely understood this. The staff to child ratio was great meaning that you could have a chat to someone about your child's day when picking them up, complete with an in depth

My son loves his days at Lyme nursery. He often finds it difficult wen he first arrives in the morning, but all the staff are brilliant at welcoming him and helping him settle. He always comes out chatting ten to the dozen about his day and all the things he has been doing. The pre-school staff are doing a great job teaching phonics too!!

I studied my NVQ 2 at the lymes nursery, in 2009. Ive worked within many day nurseries and schools since, but this nursery by far is defiantly one of a kind!! All the ingredients that make the best are here! Professional/ friendly staff that can enable and guide children/families though New experiences and learning.

My son has been at the Lyme Nursery since he was 6 months old and attends 5 days a week. Sadly he will be leaving in Summer due to starting school in September. I could not recommended the Lyme Nursery enough! They are outstanding!! My son has come on leaps and bounds, he's confident, sensitive, caring and always so excited to tell me what he's… learnt, and what he's been doing. He's made such lovely friends, including the staff. Each member of staff are extremely helpful, polite and kind. I cannot fault anything at all. My daughter goes to the Lyme Nursery 4 mornings per week and she LOVES it!!! The staff are always polite and helpful, the childcare rooms are clean and full of displays of children's art work, the meals in the kitchen are home cooked and always smell delicious! would not send my daughter anywhere else :)
