The name of the gorgeous guesthouse, a characterful three-storey Victorian-style traditional build offering views across Malborough village and west over the hills to Hope Cove, is a portmanteau of the two places owners Scott Browning and Alistair Veness have called home - formerly Brighton in East Sussex and now South Hams in Devon.

Whether it's a good, hearty breakfast or a nutritious lighter start to the day, you can take your pick at Brightham House. All ingredients are top quality and, wherever possible, locally produced. Our free-range eggs are locally sourced and our bacon & sausages come from 'The Salcombe Meat Company' a local farm in Salcombe.
Dry, light with good zesty acidity and a nutty finish. Traditional Sicilian white wine produced from coastal vineyards on the western tip of Sicily. Notes of stone fruit, citrus and ginger. Rounded and floral. Corvina is the queen of Veronese grapes and the primary grape used in the production of Amarone.
When you visit Brightham House Boutique Bed & Breakfast you will be able to enjoy the beautiful enclosed courtyard garden. The garden has lots of areas for you to relax after a day on the beach or a long coastal walk. Sit back and enjoy a Salcombe Gin or two in the sun, relaxing with the sound of water, watching the beautiful koi in the ornamental Koi pond.
With its subtle art deco style, this room will take you back in time with its vintage touches, set off by its glorious and stunning floral wallcovering. Its cocktail chairs adds a touch of elegance and class. A spacious room, with double aspect windows, it has a luxury king size bed with 200 thread count bed linen made from Egyptian-grown cotton, with comfy feather pillows and duvets.

We stayed at the fantastic Brightham House three weeks ago for five nights. We cannot praise it enough, wonderful hosts Scott and Alistair were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. The hotel was beautifully decorated using different themes for the guest bedrooms, ours was called Brighton Rocks. Scott and Alistair have worked so hard to ensure a great atmosphere in their hotel. A comfortable lounge, a quirky bar and a tropical themed dining area. As for the garden it was beautifully designed and was a place of tranquility. We cannot praise

Stayed here for two days and what an experience. The hosts couldn’t do more for us, very charming and hospitable! The garden is superb, tranquil and superbly designed. The rooms have unique design touches and are restful and fun at the same time. Have recommended to friends and will definitely stay again! Ohh and I don’t think I have had a better breakfast … ever …
