Osteopaths are key medical practitioners and we are able to stay open and provide care during any lockdown. We continue to provide treatment for all patients following telephone triage. Osteopathy is a gentle, holistic treatment. Your osteopath uses a system of diagnosis and treatment that lays an emphasis on the structural and mechanical problems of the body.
Osteopathic treatment is widely accepted. Like dentistry, can be given either independently or in conjunction with your doctors' treatment. It is not necessary to see your doctor before consulting an osteopath, however if you are unsure, consult your doctor first. An osteopath is able to treat children as well as adults.

Services
Our team of healthcare practitioners are highly trained and have had many years of experience in their field. We offer fully holistic treatment options and care. All of our Osteopaths have trained for four years and hold a degree qualification in Osteopathy. We are friendly and approachable and always happy to provide advice.
Osteopathy is based on the principle that the structure and function of the body are intimately related. If the structure is not balanced and healthy then the function is affected. Osteopaths believe that the healthy balance and function of the musculoskeletal framework of the body is essential to whole body health.
Katherine duly sorted it out, and I come once every year or so when, inadvertently, I do it again! Like magic - only wish I could bottle it and take a pill when it happens, rather than having to wait until I can get an appointment. Went in with a very bad back, and after one session alone I felt ten times better.
You may be asked to undress down to your underwear for the Osteopath to make an assessment. Please feel free to wear shorts and a vest top if this would make you feel more comfortable. Osteopathic treatment is not painful. Your Osteopath will talk you through all the techniques used during the treatment and check that you are happy.
If you would like to book an appointment with one of our other team members, please contact them direct using the links on the team page. From the Beacon (Civic Hall) car park, walk down towards the town, this will bring you on to Church Street. Turn right and walk along Church Street towards Newbury Street.

Had my first appointment with Nick Jones today and I would like to thank him for both his professional skills but also his general positive manner and approach
I really felt as if he spent time in listening, understanding and above all else treating me in a way that has made me feel so much better
Thank you
