Childridge Osteopathic
To ensure the safety of patients and osteopaths, things are going to be a little different. Prior to each appointment, patients will be triaged so that we can find the best treatment option for you and explain the new measures we have put in place for infection control.

We have the recommended PPE equipment and have updated our appointment system so that patients will be able to enter and leave the clinic while observing social distancing with other patients. If you have been advised to self-isolate, shield or have underlying health conditions and therefore cannot have face to face treatment, we will always be happy to provide help and support remotely.
Services
During your initial consultation we will take a detailed case history in order to diagnose what the problem may be. We will carefully examine you by asking you to perform simple movements, and if necessary perform various tests in order to determine which structures may be causing your symptoms. Often you will be asked to remove some clothes so that we can see how your body is moving.
Back pain is one of the most common conditions we treat. Whether it is due to an acute injury, caused by awkward lifting or digging your vegetable plot or brought on by hours in front of the computer or in the car, osteopathy may be able to help. Through careful examination and a detailed case history we will be able to diagnose and advise you about appropriate treatment.
Tina has completed several post graduate courses in cranial osteopathy and is a founding member of Oxfordshire Osteopathic Network. Having opened a new and bigger clinic in Witney, she is very much looking forward to promoting and providing quality osteopathic care throughout West Oxfordshire. Kathryn graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in London in 1995.
Back pain is a common problem in the developed world to the extent that up to 80% of people will suffer from it at some point during their lives. It is a leading cause of absenteeism from work and can have a serious impact on the quality of life of those who experience it.

As such it is an issue which needs to be addresses but for many people there is no surgical solution and medications merely mask the pain rather than treat the causes of the problem.Backache is most common in the lower back but can be felt anywhere along the spine. The pain can vary from a dull ache to a sharp pain or back spasm and can be caused by a variety of injuries, conditions and lifestyle issues.
Osteoarthritis, often referred to as 'wear and tear', can be due to poor posture, heavy and repetitive manual work or previous injury. It can affect any joint in the body such as hips, knees or spine. Although the condition cannot be cured, we can as Osteopaths help maintain and manage your symptoms.

I’ve been visiting Kathryn for the past couple of years to help manage my headache disorder and would be completely lost without her. I’ve visited many Osteopaths and Chiropractors over the years but Kathryn has been able to tame some pretty nasty aches and pains where others have failed.
Treatment has always been proportionate to what’s needed and though Kathryn is very gentle, she isn’t scared to use a firmer touch when required which has really helped tackle my headaches and neck pains quickly.
Impeccably professional, empathetic (and a fellow foodie!), I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

I've been coming to see Tina and Kathryn for 3 years fairly regularly and always found them to be so warm, friendly and professional. I've found their treatments really thorough and effective. They always take time to explain any issues clearly, to answer any questions and how it can be helped at home. I also took my daughter to see Tina when she was a week old after forceps delivery and felt she really benefited from it.

Tina has kept me going ever since she first qualified many years ago and has got me through a full hip replacement amongst other various injuries and prior to that helped me continue riding despite the pain and problems I was suffering from. I can not recommend her highly enough...without her I am quite would not be able to do half the things I can now!
