Farmoor Osteopathy & Sports Injuries Clinic
I qualified as an Osteopath in 1988 and have been in practice for 32 years. I have been on the General Osteopathic Council's statutory register of Osteopaths since its inauguration in 1998. My hobbies include Tennis, Skiing and Horseriding. Oxford's Farmoor Osteopathy and Sports Injury Clinic, provides treatment for Musculo-Skeletal, Congenital, Developmental and sports injuries for both adults and children.

These include Back Pain, Sciatic Pain, Neck Pain, Muscle Pain, Trapped Nerves, Arthritic Pain/ Stiffness, Headaches, pain associated with Scoliosis (spinal curvature), Back Pain during and after pregnancy and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. This is probably what Osteopaths are best known for treating. Most low back pain is due to problems with the muscles and joints of the lower spine and pelvis.

Osteopathy is a system or science of healing which emphasises the relationship between the structure and the function of the body. It recognises that the body has the ability to heal itself and it is the role of the Osteopath to facilitate this process by the use of manual and manipulative therapy.
