Little Chicks Pre-School care and educate children under statutory school age, we provide quality childcare, in a supportive and stimulating environment, inspiring all children, to become happy and confident in their learning and to work in partnership with parents. Services
Our staff are childcare professionals holding a variety of recognised childcare qualifications, we elect our staff very carefully ensuring that they are dedicated childcare professionals and meet the criteria as expected, and hold valid enhanced DBS. We recognise the link between enthusiastic staff and high quality childcare.
In Pre-School we not only prepare children for school, but we encourage them to explore the world around them, and experiment with new, exciting tools and materials. Pre-School is about developing independence through a safe and nurturing environment; beginning to develop a new understanding of letters, numbers, shapes, our surroundings and local environment; discovering how we live, about ourselves and who we are.
We are registered with the Government's Free Funding schemes during school term times to offer. 15 hours free nursery education per week to 3 & 4 year olds with effect from the term following their 3rd birthday. Little Chicks Pre-School charge fee's by the hour (not by the half or full day), the hourly rate is 5.00 with a minimum of a 3 hour session per week.
Little Chicks Pre-School's policies and procedures are placed in a folder in the parents waiting room. You are strongly recommended to make yourselves familiar with their contents. These will be updated as required, and a general review of all policies will be conducted annually. The Management will ensure that any changes to any policy will be communicated to all employees.
We receive funding to deliver free 15 hours early education to all children from the term after their third birthday. Following on from the success of providers offering Free Early Education Entitlement for three and four year olds, the Government is offering the same entitlement for two year olds who meet the eligibility criteria.
