The North Wilts Indoor Bowls Club
To provide, maintain and manage facilities either alone or in conjunction with other bodies for its members. To promote social and other functions, and fund raising activities to further the Club's Aims or for charitable purposes among its members. Generally to do all other such acts as may be necessary for the furtherance of the aims and objectives.
Services
We are the only Bowls Club in this area of Wiltshire that can offer bowling facilities throughout the full 12 months of the year. Our indoor arena boasts a full size 6 rink carpet and caters for all levels of bowling from the very beginner to the most advanced International players. We have adequate car parking, a bar & restaurant, toilets and changing rooms, and can cater for the less abled members of the community.
In common with most sports clubs, our constitution allows us to enrol social members who can use the facilities of our club and take part in all activities except bowling. Originally intended to welcome non-playing partners of bowling members, this has now expanded to provide other activities which includes: Craft mornings & Bridge players.
In common with other bowls clubs and National guidelines we adopt a dress code for our members to ensure a degree of uniformity. INDOOR SECTION: Normal wear should be grey trousers or skirt, (ladies can wear 'cut-off' trousers) White tops with collar. During Club Friendly games or certain stages of National Competitions white trousers or skirts, and tops should be worn.
We have a number of specially designed wheel chairs, also bowls and shoes are available. There is a disabled toilet and special parking spaces adjacent to the club. The entrance from the car park is on level ground, thus providing easy access to the building. On Friday afternoons from 4-5pm there is a session set aside solely for people with disabilities.
Permission was granted and the contract was awarded to 'Two County & Landscaping' to build 1x green and a brick shed. Moving of all the soil and the laying of a membrane under the green. Work started and it was anticipated that it would take 17 weeks subject to the weather conditions. For the first two years the green was looked after by one of our members with advice being sort from a outside contractor.

A great place to play indoor or outdoor bowls. The facilities are very good with large locker rooms and newly refurbished toilets. There is a comfortable viewing area so that you can watch games in progress and a dining room with a great catering team, which includes a fully stocked bar.
Other activities also take place such as craft mornings, whist drives and social evenings to name but a few. We also have both children and adult training sessions at various times. There's a full calendar so nobody needs ever feel lonely.
