Greenbank Bowling Club is now OPEN for games in accordance with Bowls England and Government guidelines. The clubhouse is also open for a beer before and after games, including more great Greenbank social events Please check 'Updates' and 'Social Events'. Dating back over 85 years, you will find our bowls club situated in Greenbank (off Gordon Road) Bristol, nestled between houses next to the City Academy Sports Centre.

We are an inclusive mixed club and you will receive a warm welcome- we have a range of excellent facilities including a relaxing outdoor bowling green, bar, kitchen, and changing facilities. Whether you are new to bowls or even new to the area, we can arrange a free taster session for new bowlers to see how you might take to the sport, and give you time to view our facilities and discuss details of our club with one of our members.
Services
Bristol Greenbank Bowling Club, like many bowls clubs in Bristol, has it origins within the industrial past of our city. J W. Arrowsmiths), City & Port of Bristol (Shipping), Frys (Confectionary) and Bristol Omnibus (Transport) exist today and all began life by a company's reaction to the needs of its employees.
The main clubhouse bar area and corridor has been decorated, new bar furniture tables and chairs throughout and upgraded the photos in the club giving it a much fresher feel. You will also notice the large tree in the car park has now been removed which should hopefully provide us with an additional four parking spaces this season.
The outdoor bowls season runs from early April to late September and Greenbank are pleased to offer introductory/practice sessions throughout the season in an informal setting. Beginners and newcomers are most welcome to come and try the wonderful game of bowls and friendly, relaxed coaching sessions are available for individuals or small groups- bring your friends, it's even more fun!.
As most of you know these events are great fun and usually particularly popular with children, so round up your friends and family and we can have an entertaining and exciting evening fundraising for the club. Please note that the clubhouse and bar are open every Friday night even when no events are taking place.
Greenbank Bowling Club is now open, including the bar and clubhouse; we are looking forward to welcoming all bowlers to our green to enjoy a great game of bowls and a nice cold beer or two. Joe said "We are trying to train at least 2 Qualified Markers in each Club and hoping that they would go on to greater things."

Great place to play bowls, in a nice quiet location (in Bristol), with a friendly and helpful membership. During the bowls season, there is a Friday night 'roll-up' where anyone wanting to try bowls can come and 'have a go'

This is a very friendly club, competitive, but fun place to bowl. It also has a nice social side.
