We can now re-open the kitchen. Masks should be worn in the kitchen. Mugs to be placed in tray for dishwasher, No more than TWO people at any one time in the kitchen and please spray the work surfaces after use with the sanitiser provided and wipe down with a clean paper towel. However, this arrangement will be only for AFTER matches and roll-ups.

If all goes well then we can open up further so that you can gather for tea and a chat before playing. Bowls England ask that we remain vigilant and continue to sanitise our hands on entry to the Centre, wear our masks when inside the building and maintain the usual social distancing - all out of respect for our fellow members.
Services
We are a small friendly club with first class facilities and an artificial bowling surface. This surface allows us to play all year, every day, even in the rain if you want to. We have "grass" bowling club members join us for winter play after their clubs close for the winter. We also have two "short mats" we put down and use indoors during the winter period for those of us who are less hardy, but still like to play bowls all year.
You are of course, free to book to play short mat on any other day when the Centre is open (11.00am to 2.00pm and to 3.00pm in October and March). We will have 7 squads of 3 players, with teams of 2 playing with 3 woods each. In order to ensure that you always have a team of 2 please can we ask you to do your best to be available to play each week.
The completion of the league has ben marked by a small presentation lunch at Totton & Eling BC. This was attended by 7 of our members, 4 from Braeside, 7 from Parkside and 4 from Sixpenny Handley. The was a good atmosphere, attendees enjoying each others company over sandwiches and a cup of tea. Parkside was presented with the trophy donated by Totton & Eling.
Also if you are unable to make it on the Sunday but can do it on the Friday/Saturday/ Monday, then please let your Team leader/keyholder know of your intentions. Can we also ask that after club events during the week ie league matches the club room is left clean and tidy.

We suggest that the captain of the day or person organising the events arranges for the tables to be wiped, the floor is vacuumed to clear any crumbs and tables/chairs are left tidy ready for next time.
