I booked 4 rooms for one night for my family on the Winter Break package to celebrate my 70th birthday. All of the rooms were lovely, spacious and spotlessly clean. Large comfortable beds and great views. The outside play barn was an added bonus for our two young grandson's. The food was lovely both at dinner and breakfast with a varied menu choice for both. All the staff were very welcoming, attentive and efficient. There were ten of us for dinner and we ordered at the bar. Special mention for Gurs who gave us a great table after discovering the table allocated to us had been given to another

Visited at the first opportunity following the recent amazing makeover and they’ve done a fabulous job. Still a wonderful atmosphere and well kept ales. Some reorientation required as things have moved but staff very pleasant and polite. Looking forward to trying the food as it looked marvelous. Black Sheep tasted as good as ever. Highly recommended.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!! Our Christmas was almost ruined by the Black Swan in Helmsley, turned away Christmas eve at 6pm despite having booked a table for 615, but they had no record of the booking, I had made this booking on 10th Dec with Central reservations whilst paying for our Xmas day lunch but made the mistake of not getting email confirmation,… make sure when you book folks that you get confirmation, very rude staff member, no apology, just we are full, not even the offer of a table needed for later that we would have vacated. This was the same male staff member who told me a few weeks

We were regular visitors to the Wateredge Inn in Ambleside. This time was very disappointing. The rooms were just as nice but food was awful. Breakfast deteriorated day by day. Toast and coffee were no longer served at the table. The cooked breakfast was cold, hard or underdone eggs scrambled eggs would not fill a ramakin dish. The meal got smaller by the day. In the evening we went for a meal i chose the fish pie it was small with watery mash on top served with two slices of bread and butter no vegetables My husband had the chicken and that was small and cold If this is what this Inn group are

We have stopped at the Amble In on many occasions, our last couple of visits were poor at best. The breakfast arrangement was shambolic, after speaking to the young gentleman who said he was the manger, gave him our feed back as we thought we were valued customers, nothing happened, no feedback, no phone call as promised, no explanation. Disgusted, let down and although I expect know response from the Inn Group as clear, it’s all about the money at not the customer service which made us return on several visits. We paid a premium price for very poor service, we weren’t alone !!! Hopefully someone

THE ANGEL INN BOWNESS.
Usually a great place. We have been coming here for many years.
However, this time it would have been great IF we had "Coat Hooks" on the back of room doors in the Oakbank Annexe, why haven't you got shaver sockets for those of us that use electric razors, (cost me £20.99) for a conversion socket, disgraceful. Housekeeping, white sugar not replenished.
Morning breakfast, Well, the bacon must have been waved passed the frying pan, (bit on raw side) the toast, or should I sat Warm Bread, we mentioned this to to one of your lady colleagues serving who we think sorted the

Tried to buy multiple vouchers for Christmas as usual from the Stables at Whitby, was advised since new ownership have to apply online. Tries to order online and the new owners want to charge an extra £3.16 per envelope which increases the bill by a minimum of £18.04 or an envelope per voucher of £40 extra. So instead of buying vouchers from the premises I have to pay for the privilege of buying vouchers. Needless to say I won't be buying vouchers or using any Inn collection group establishments. not a good way to take over a popular business
