This venue was recommended to us by a customer of mine, we booked a table for 7 persons and browsed the menu. We all ordered a main course each 2 Lamb shanks, 3 gammon steaks, 1 Cumberland sausage and 1 Burger. We didn't wait long to be served, the portions were plentiful and cooked perfectly. We all enjoyed every meal and would happily return again next time we're over there.

Used the Deli next door it's built on to the pub & you can walk straight through. Never used the pub but I think they are the same business. Ordered 3 sandwiches & he messed all 3 up, wrong bread, orderd white got brown on one & white on another got brown & mayo was on wrong sandwich too🙄 He knew he'd mess up but just blagged it & never sorted his mistake out. Very expensive sandwiches too think it was over a fiver 😮. The ham was very thick & very high quality so I'd expect to pay a bit more for good quality but still a £1 too much. Place was clean & tidy. 2 stars

Roaring log fire, friendly, helpful service and amazing food. What's not to like?! The ladies' toilets are also a thing of beauty....I have never posted pictures of toilets before! Tempting not to review so that it doesn't get too busy to fit us in! Look forward to seeing you again xx

We chose The Wilson Arms for two nights  due to its location, we are novice hikers and this seemed like the perfect area to start our journey.
When we first arrived we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff, she was very informative and knew about the area, a really nice lady.
The room was really nice and had everything that we needed, the perfect view, very comfortable bed and very moden.
The pub was closed however they had a bar setup in the marquee as shown in the picture below.  This was a perfect touch, summer night, log fire, beer and food.  The food served was not bad, but

Large marquee at the rear in the pub garden with entertainment on a Saturday night. Good beers and we ate there twice in our week and both times thought the food was excellent and good size portions. Because of Covid restrictions/shortage of staff you have to collect the food from a hatch on the main building and it gets handed to you in environmentally friendly boxes, but it all adds to the fun! Recommended.

Good location and decent room but sneaky about charges ( didn't disclose a £15 per night pet charge). Only continental breakfast included which also wasn't great and items forgotten at times. One attendant was very rude and went around talking about us to other staff members making jokes and ridiculing us. Shame as owner seemed nice, maybe worth making sure that considerate and polite people are employed rather than others.

A great set up with a marquee behind the pub building with lots of space to sit down. They have a reasonably priced selection of lunch and dinner items. You order then are buzzed to collect. Great family vibe to the place.

Lovely stay!! There pub is lovely, and so is the campsite. Enjoyed the nighttime entertainment from chickens who would rather be with the pub goers then there beds! Amazing deli next to pub which serves you your morning bacon roll. All topped off with beautiful scenery and very friendly staff. Would 100% stay again.
