Temple Golf Course is a classic design by Willie Park Junior. Willie Park is a two-time Open Champion in 1887 and 1889. He was one of the earliest golf writers and one of the world's best golf course architects. Not only did he design our wonderful course here at Temple but he also designed other famous courses including the Old course at Sunningdale, Aldeburgh and Huntercombe.
Temple is always delighted to extend a very warm welcome to visitors and we will go out of our way to ensure you have an enjoyable and successful day. A round of golf at Temple is a must for the discerning golfer. If you have not played at Temple before, then a visit is thoroughly recommended and you will not be disappointed.
The weekday packages set out below are designed to meet most needs. However, if you have any specific requirements that are not included then please contact us and we will make every effort to tailor make a package for you. Michael Whitby, the PGA Professional at Temple, has built a recognised teaching academy which provides coaching to golfers of all abilities and ages. Michael believes that understanding your own game is vital on the road to success and no matter what your handicap, he will be able to offer you advice and assistance to improve your game.
Our state of the art Swing Studio is located in the Pro Shop giving every golfer the opportunity to get instant feedback on their game, their equipment as well as take lessons. Why not book to play one of the five American courses available on the simulator either on your own or with a group of friends?

I'm a member of Temple so I'm biased but it's a great course. Not the longest but you need to play well to score...it's no pushover.
Staff are awesome. Food good. No range to speak if but there are nets and a practice area and putting green. Pro shop is good too.
The course, being on chalk, drains really well so rain rarely causes an issue.

Played my first round of golf today at Temple! I had played a few 9 holes before and hacked my way round them. I joined Temple 7 weeks ago and started lessons with @Andrew Avann! I shot a very proud 4 pars, 6 bogies and the other 8, well let's call rest practice holes/areas too improve 😞!

I recently visited Hurley on Thames and contacted the local golf club, Temple Golf Club, to see if I could get a game while I was in the area.
Not only id Keith the secretary arrange a game for me but it was also with Paul the club captain, a nice treat.
It states on their website that they are a friendly club and I experienced this first hand, everyone was helpful and I chatted to various members the day before when I went up for some practice, so definitely lived up to the billing.
I loved the course, I said to Paul that the first question for me is always “would I want to play it again”
